Stirling City Centre

Great as always. You know what you are getting with a premier inn. Arrived late on Sunday night. Only issue, No tea bags in the room and only 1 towel between the 2 of us. As it was really late and we were ready for bed, we just couldn’t be bothered going down 3 floors to tell someone.

Great location in the city centre and was good value for money for our break in the town centre. Stirling has loads to do from a Castle and old jail to great pubs and shopping. We recommend a visit to the Wallace Monument just outside town and 5 minute train journey to the picturesque town of Dunblane (home of Andy Murray)

I’m not one for complaining and premier inn has always been my go to for my over night business trips and never had any issues until now. The good. The hotel is a 2 min walk from Stirling train station which is more than ideal and within walking distance of shops and restaurants. The bad. My room whilst was tidy it smelt of **** and the bathroom ceiling was peeling off and the general condition was poor. The main room was clean bar a dirty head mark on the head board. My main issue was with attached restaurant which had no atmosphere at all. I was told there was no chicken at all and only 1 Brand or beer available as all the others had ran out. Because there was no chicken I had fish and chips which was over cooked. Breakfast was to order and when it came was like a child’s portion. My meal on the 2nd night. There was nice smell of stake being cooked in the restaurant so I orders the 8oz stake to be told there wasn’t any and to my amusement I was told they only had chicken. Curry it was. 2nd morning breakfast I was left to waiting that long for someone to take my order that I decided to have a cold breakfast. After a good 20min the waiter asked what I would like and I told him it was to late I had got something cold . He then decided to get sharp with me because I said something. He then decided to shout at me for taking a large plate from the hot plate because there wasn’t any. The restaurant was not a good experience at all and I had pre paid for the hot breakfast that I didn’t get. I’m going to think twice before I use premier inn again.

While the accommodation was as expected from premier inn the drinks choices with the meal deal were very poor. The 3 identified choices on the menu were not available and only 1 substitute was provided forcing you to spend an additional fee to have an alcoholic drink of your choice. Overall the food choice was disappointing and not to the expected standard of a Beefeater restaurant with some breakfast choices either being stale or not available As regular Premier Inn users we found this to be the poorest for both breakfast and evening meal

Hotel room was great, it has just what we needed for the 1 night. Breakfast was a big disappointment. Shortage of staff in restaurant. Bar could not take card payment as machine was not working, thankfully we had cash on us. Location was good. Short walk into the city centre.

Positives , good location less than 10 minutes walk to train station and town centre. Comfy beds as always friendly staff. Negatives The breakfast OMG simply the worst breakfast ever had at a premier inn, it's table service not buffer took ages to get breakfast served. The food DISGRACEFUL!!! food barely cooked couldn't eat it shocking serving this to guest's.
