Travelodge Wincanton

Very good location, staff are very friendly. Great for taking dogs and made to feel welcome. Also good for parking and food outlets close by. Definitely recommend if you want to visit attractions close by like Shepton Mallet and Glastonbury and Clark’s outlet village.

I had to spend the night in Winton for business reasons. I chose to stay at the Travelodge because it is more affordable than most hotels and due to its convenient location just off the A303. The reception staff were friendly and very helpful. I really appreciated the unfussy, tasteful decor, spotlessness and comfort of the room. The double bed was very inviting and extremely comfortable. The bed linen and the room itself, plus the en-suite shower were spotless. This I understand is due to the obvious care and fastidiousness of the room’s cleaner Eva. Well done Eva, you’re a credit to Travelodge! The hotel is surrounded by convenient meal options including the neighbouring restaurant and fast food outlets. Lidl and Morrison are close by as is a petrol station. I recommend booking an upstairs room which guarantees a very comfortable, peaceful night’s sleep.

One of the best services I have received was from a supervisor by name Ms Nicki. She’s very helpful,polite and very professional. For Ms.Nicki I will choose travel lodge over again,xcustomer service is top notch and rooms very clean. The environment is tidy and every member of staff is willing to assist you

I have to say I have started staying in this travelodge for work and having stayed in many hotels over the years the service in this one received from Nicci was exemplary in every way. She was informative about the hotel and local area and nothing was too much trouble. Staff like this are hard to find so well done travelodge for putting the customer first with great staff like Nicci. I have to say This is what makes a business grow and ensures repeat business is gained!. I look forward to doing updated reviews as I am here for a while with work over the coming months.. keep up the great work..

Had a wonderful stay at your hotel in wincanton it was very clean and pleasant had a very good night sleep the staff was amazing and helpful especially Nicki was warm and friendly and can’t do enough to help you nothing was to much trouble will definitely stay there again

This was by far the worst place we've ever stayed. Dirty room- lots of hairs in the bathroom, rusting towel rail, dirty carpet in the hallway and room. Filthy window. Dust on the desk and back of bed. Large hole ripped in the side of both duvet covers. Towels that felt like sandpaper. Twin beds when we requested a double/king as shown in the picture. Mattresses that felt like concrete, causing major back pain and lack of sleep. No mats in the bathroom so when you shower the floor floods and becomes dangerously slippery. No sound proofing. Sounded like a heard of elephants in the room above us and very noisy people opposite and to the side of us. Doors slamming all hours. No one on the desk to speak to other than when we first arrived. Ample parking and a fantastic pub next door with excellent evening meals.
