Baldwin House

I stayed at Baldwin House for 10 days to attend an inquest in Stourport. My friend and I were looked after with such kindness and compassion. Nothing was too much trouble. Our rooms were extremely clean and comfortable. It was so nice to have the use of a microwave in our rooms. The breakfast was first class, well cooked and plenty of choice. We very much enjoyed the company of 'Princess' the gorgeous cocker spaniel. I made sure she got a breakfast treat every morning! I highly recommend this B & B. Welcoming and friendly with a lovely homely atmosphere. What more could you ask for?

We stayed at Baldwin House over the weekend 21/22 June whilst we attended a family wedding. We were greeted by Dave the owner who was a lovely man and made us welcome straight away. We were shown to our room the Mitton. It was beautiful, light and airy very clean and tidy. The beds were really comfortable and all bedding was spotlessly clean. The bathroom was amazing with a corner bath and a walk in shower and toilet. Again it was all spotlessly clean. There was tea and coffee facilities in the room with biscuits , my grandaughter loved these. There is also a microwave and mini fridge. Can't recommend this B&B enough. The cleanliness, welcome and hospitality are all 5☆ Dave even went above and beyond and let us use his fridge to store cakes for the wedding. The breakfast is amazing and is all made from local products. The mushrooms were exemplary. I struggled to eat it all but with princess Dave's dog giving me a hand, we managed to finish it. This B&B is a gem in the heart of Stourport. We shall definately be visiting again.

Had a great 3 night's stay to meet up with ex work friends. I contacted reception as I was going to arrive late and was provided with key box entry. Owner Dave and manager Judy were welcoming and helpful. I stayed in room 6, which has a four-poster bed and balcony. Had a great breakfast and on Dave's recommendation ate evening meals at Black Star pub on the canal and Namste restaurant which is in same street as Balwin House both very good. Balwin House was originally owned by grandparents of prime minister Stanley Baldwin, so has an interesting history. It's close to the canal, river and town centre.

Dave came to our rescue when we were turned away from a neighbouring hotel which we booked several weeks earlier because of some issue with booking. A customer there recommended the Baldwin guest house. Dave couldn’t have been more helpful for us all, rooms were lovely and they were clean. You couldn’t fault the food it was cooked perfectly and plenty of it .The service was outstanding they really couldn’t do enough for us. We will definitely be back it’s a perfect location for us to stay near my daughter and her family. Thanks again to all at Baldwin house😊

Beautiful Georgian house with great character and many original features. Dave was very friendly and welcoming. Also very knowledgeable of area. We had a beautiful room no 6. Wow 4 poster bed plus balcony absolutely beautiful. Great location close to canal and cafes/restaurants bars. Brilliant stay

Booked Baldwin House for a stay over as we booked a family trip to West Midlands Safari Park with myself my wife, 4 year old and 6 month year old baby Having visited the park during the day and had dinner we headed to the hotel at approximately 10pm not knowing last check in was at 8pm as this wasn't made obvious - an easy oversight. I called the hotel when we got there as it looked closed and the phone was answered by the owner Dave with a very rude Yes!?. I ignored this, and asked why the hotel was closed and he began to rudely explain how the hotel in closes at 8pm and I am lucky he is even answering the phone! So I apologised profusely to which he said, Yes you should be! he then said you are lucky you have a baby with you and proceeded to disconnect the call! He then came down and opened the door and shouted at me saying "Where's the rest of them!" at the point I felt I had been disrespected enough and was ready to turn back or find another hotel, but had to think of my 6 month old. We then grabbed our things and came to the front desk where matters got worse! He saw my 2 children and said the rooms only booked for 1 child! and I explained I can show him the booking, he said "You can show me what you want, I don't care!". After 5 mins he realised that I was correct and the booking was for 2 children on his system. He then said I didn't book with ********** and told me I booked with *******! I said the booking comes across as ******* but he called me a liar!
