Хорошее место расположения, отличные интерьеры. Открытый бассейн. Отличный завтрак. Жесткий матрас. Маленький экран телевизора. В номере нет чайника/кофеварки.

This is a nice older hotel right on the lake. Good location. Walking distance from the train station. We went with another couple and she booked both rooms. They had a lake view and we had a dumpster view. Our room was not anything like any of the pictures on the websight. The bed barely fit in the tiny room and the “pool/garden” view was overlooking the lower roof and dumpsters. Upon check in we confirmed the price rate of our non view room as it was quoted wrong and the front desk confirmed the rate would be correct. However 2 nights stayed later on checkout they charged us for the lake view rate and refused to adjust. We over paid $90 euros. On principle I cannot recommend this hotel. We showed them on their own sight the rate our room should’ve been, had confirmed it day one, and the manager refused to honor it. Was a bad experience and poor business on the mangers part.

The best rooms are the once that face the Lake Maggiore, which is a wonderful view in itself. However the rooms are narrow, with not much room to walk around, and only one small chair in the room, plus a fridge. The balcony has 2 chairs and a small table. So the room is adequate and sufficiently comfortable, but cannot be described as luxurious. No tea / coffee facilities are provided, and the bathroom and shower is small. The decoration of the room is dated, with printed patterns on the furniture and doors. The restaurant is very pleasant and the daily 3 course menu was good and the staff very pleasant. Overall it was a pleasant staff, but could do with some upgrading of the facilities.

This is a very well maintained clean hotel in a great location , right on the lake front. The decor throughout although immaculate is a little dated, however this did not detract from our stay. The pool area is fantastic and looks to have been installed fairly recently. The breakfast was good with a reasonable choice, and was replenished very quickly. Our room was a little small but had a lake view which was spectacular, and a cute little balcony to sit on. The bed was a little hard for my taste, but the housekeeping was excellent and the shower had great power. A little disappointed that there was no mirror in the bedroom for doing your hair and makeup. Staff were helpful and friendly.

the positive: - The staff is very friendly and helpful. Most particularly Adi, he was incredibly warm and gave us much advice. Having people like this in a hotel really makes a huge difference in the experience - The beds were very comfortable and the shower head was very nice. - The little balcony had a wonderful view of the lake - The breakfast was excellent, very fresh and varied. Bonus points to the scrambled eggs. I do not know what is inside, but it was divine. to improve: - The shower did not drain very well, but that can be easily fixed - The gym was not really working, but we were told there were plans to expand the whole section

A very nice hotel and food was exceptional, pool area very clean and enjoyed the spa area :) lovely food served at the pool area and drinks and staff are very friendly too. The only downside was the size of the bedroom, very compact but spotlessly clean and a fantastic view from the balcony. Would definitely recommend.

We have stayed in Stresa several times but this was our first visit to the Astoria. From the moment we arrived we received excellent, friendly service. The position on the lakefront is ideal, the lake view room with balcony was very well equipped and comfortably sized rather than large - although it was absolutely fine for two of us for a week. The hotel facilities including pool and accompanying bar/snacks facility was very good. We were only in a bed and breakfast basis, however the morning meal was of a high standard with good variety and range. The outstanding feature throughout was the consistently friendly and effective customer service. Overall the stay was very good value, especially when compared to other hotels on the lakefront. We’ll certainly return to The Astoria when visiting Stresa in the future. Thank you and keep up the good work.

My family and I have now been to Hotel Astoria three times and it has been incredible each time. The hotel is situated right in front of the lake and is a five-minute walk from the town centre and the ferry port, where you can travel to the Borromeo Islands and various other locations around the lake. The rooms have always been comfortable, clean and spacious with balconies that offer spectacular views of the lake. The restaurant is faultless, with the most welcoming staff and waiters who went out of their way to ensure everybody was happy. The food is always delicious with a variety of options to suit anyone at each meal. We also happened to visit during the holiday of the Assumption of Mary, so the restaurant hosted a buffet outdoors to celebrate. The entire evening was wonderful, and the food and drinks available were outstanding. Thank you to everyone at the hotel for another amazing trip!

Beautiful hotel, with wonderful people providing a first class service from Mr Adnan the parking supervisor, the wonderful people at the reception, service staff at the restaurants and bar. The room was spotless upon our arrival, and kept very clean throughout our stay for a week at the hotel. We had a superior lake view room, which was really beautiful with all required amenities, large by European standards. Breakfast was open buffet style, with many great options to satisfy everyone. A nice little pool at the back with hydro massage. Parking spots were plentiful, we never had problems parking there. We will definitely come back next year. Thanks to all Astoria staff and management.
