We loved this place. Very friendly welcoming reception, we were offered tea and biscuits sitting in the sunshine on our arrival. Rooms comfortable and we were very happy with our choice. We only stayed one night but were totally happy with our experience. Nice helpful staff.

Quiet, simple, comfortable and friendly small hotel in the tiny village of Strove, close to the walled town of Monteriggioni, and not far from Siena. The room and the bathroom were very clean and comfortable. The owners are helpful and offer a good buffet breakfast. The evening menu is good too. For some reason the evening waiter was not the most friendly of characters - brusque and rather impatient - but the meal itself was very good indeed. Highly recommended for a peaceful stay in lovely countryside, with so many places to see that are all within a 40-minute drive. You do need a car, however, unless you are doing the area by bike - which LOTS of people do; this village is not only on the Via Francigena but also on the Tuscan Trail.

Our stay at Casalta Boutique Hotel was a wonderful experience and remains a highlight of our time in Sienese Tuscany. Right from the initial telephone conversation with Valeria, we knew that our stay would be memorable; Valeria was welcoming, friendly, helpful and attentive as was all the staff. Her genuine interest in ensuring our stay would be enjoyable was evidenced during our chats, especially at breakfast, which always included delicious by home made cakes prepared by Tommaso, her husband and chef. We loved the homeliness and privacy, the location, accessiblilty to amazing routes for exploring Sienese Tuscany, and the authenticity and creativity of the food in the restaurant. It was so good to come back at the end of the day and know that you could relax outdoors or in the lounge and have dinner on site. The room was super comfy, and extremely clean with a spacious bathroom and beautiful and unique pieces of furniture. Casalta is a gem! We loved it so much, we extended our stay! We would highly recommend staying at Casalta. It was a very special time that allowed us to really enjoy the beauty of this part of the world. Arrivederci e grazie! Caterina and Rick.

Wonderful experience in the countryside. Calm relaxing with beautiful local decorations which make this hotel unice.I can so recommend this place. Food from own restaurant was great- breakfast was delightful with freshly baked cake and other pastry. Top friendly host/ hostess.

Very comfortable , room we had was large. Not many amenities, we went to the kitchen to get a bottle of Coke Cola. Excellent spot for traveling the countryside. We took a train to Verona, left our car at the station and returned with no problems at all. We actually were there in 2016 not 2022 .

Le serveur du restaurant ( patron) nonchalant , pas souriant, attend qu'une chose : c'est de vite nous débarrasser pour terminer son service, sans se soucier des clients. Souci de dernière minute en cuisine et nous n'avons pas eu notre dessert pourtant réservé depuis 2 jours ( rien d'autre à nous proposer). Petit déjeuner prévu pour huit heures. Nous sommes arrivés a huit heures et rien n'était mis en place. Seule chante positive les chambres. Bref trois jours passer là-bas et le service a été bâclé.

Points positifs : - accueil et personnel agréables - chambre très propre - joli hôtel dans un village toscan Points négatifs : - adresse non conforme sur le GPS - petit déjeuner médiocre pas à la hauteur de l’hôtel - dîner à la carte sans prix annoncés

Abbiamo organizzato qui il nostro matrimonio! Valeria, Tommaso e tutto lo staff sono stati cordialissimi e molto, molto professionali. Tutto è andato alla grande e gli ospiti sono rimasti estasiati dalla bellezza del luogo e dalla cura dei dettagli. L'Hotel Casalta è un'antica struttura di origine longobarda risalente all'anno mille, situata a Strove, un piccolo borgo nel comune di Monteriggioni, splendida cittadina medievale racchiusa da una cinta muraria che non ha eguali nel mondo e a pochi km. da Siena (da visitare). La struttura, situata lungo la via Francigena, è ottimamente ristrutturata e curata, offre delle camere ampie e bellissime, tutte con bagno privato, personalmente vi consiglio la n. 8 per la fantastica vista sulla piazzetta di Strove. Inoltre, il ristorante al suo interno è di qualità elevata e Tommaso saprà deliziarvi con i sapori della cucina toscana, anche con ricette moderne e contemporanee. Grazie per averci regalato un evento indimenticabile.

Se siete in zona non fatevi sfuggire questo hotel / ristorante gentilezza, cordialita' e buon cibo, da non perdere gestito da una simpatica coppia. Locatione molto bella e tranquilla facile da raggiungere, buona atmosfera . franca e fabrizio
