Location was great and there were a number of good restaurants around.

Hotel is beautiful and first class all the way! Best hotel of our entire trip!

Rooms were adequate. Breakfast was ok. When we arrived there was no one at checkin. The sundry store didn’t have toothpaste. they also double charged me for the 2 rooms I had. After 2 weeks and multiple phone calls I received a refund. Be weary.

Went to visit some family in the area and ended up staying there the house keeper that cleaned my room went abve and beyond her name is Loretta she made sure my room was cleaned to perfection. I love that she must have sprayed something in my room to make it smell good cause it definitely smelt good

I decided to give this hotel a try although there weren’t many recent reviews. I am glad that I did! I came down to South Carolina for a four-night stay. We arrived around four in the afternoon and were promptly checked in by a nice young woman at the front desk. We were given a choice of the floor that we wanted to stay on, so we chose the second floor. We were told of the amenities that Tru offered and the closing times of certain areas. There is a covered counter which we were told was for the continental breakfast that was available from 6:00 am until 10:00 am. The lobby area was brightly lit and clean and the décor was very modern and trendy. The lobby had a 24/7 coffee station and plenty of seating if you wanted to just come down to mingle. There was also a pool table which someone was frequenting often as we passed through and televisions. If you wanted snacks, they had plenty available to purchase. There were restrooms down the hall just past the water and ice machine. There was a swimming pool that I believe went up to 5ft in depth. They have a gym and laundry room as well. Every area was clean, and they also provided Lysol wipes near the elevator. We made our way upstairs to room 218 and noticed that our door was open. Upon entering, we noticed that the floors were still wet because the room steward had just finished cleaning our room. This didn’t bother me because that told me that someone tended to the room. The overall appearance of the room was very nice and tidy. It would get the job done for our four-day stay. I cleaned the surfaces with the Lysol wipes that I travel with on every trip and noticed that the surfaces were very clean. There was no dirty residue on my cleanup. We checked the bedding and everything smelled fresh. The air conditioner was working perfectly. It would get so cold in the room that I had to turn it off at times. I loved that I was able to control the temperature to my liking. There was a small refrigerator under a table in the room that was empty and got the job done. We were able to store the leftover dinners and drinks that we had purchased. The television had cable, so we had a variety of choices as to what we wanted to watch. The lighting in the room was bright enough and had dimmers if you wanted to turn the brightness. The shower was clean and large. I loved the size of the countertop in the bathroom. It allowed me to store all my toiletries during my stay. They provided shampoo, conditioner, hand soap and I believe there was lotion also, from dispensers. There was a blow dryer in a bag in the bathroom. They had an iron and ironing board in the bedroom. There wasn’t a closet. There are storage drawers underneath the bed, which we did not utilize. There is a small rolling table/desk that you could move around the room. There are also two rolling chairs that were comfortable enough. (Please note that the pictures of the room were taken right before we left.) We didn’t go to the continental breakfas

Nicest front desk staff I have ever encountered. Room was immaculate and plenty of places to eat nearby. A bit tricky to find but well worth the effort. Felt very safe and comfortable staying here.

The motel covers all of the basic needs, but no microwave and walls are thin with little sound insulation. The room was clean and the bathroom had the necessary cleaning supplies. Friday check in desk staff was very friendly and helpful. Check out staff on Sunday morning not so much. Breakfast was sufficient though if you go at 9:30 am on Sunday and the grits is out they will not restock the pot though breakfast is open till 10:00 am.

Apri 1, 2023 was my date of stay. The joke was on me!!!! The cost of a one night stay $276. My college son said to me the room reminded him of the Red Roof Inn. Nothing against RRI as their price aligns with their service, BUT for the Hilton to charge that price just because it is new and a Hilton product is absolutely ridiculous! Especially in Sumter SC.

I'm a fulltime wheelchair user, and I was so impressed by this hotel, from easy roll carpets, to actually have a roll in shower with the shower controls on the side of the shower, so they are reachable while in the shower chair, EVERYTHING was wheelchair friendly but 1 thing.... a very very important thing. The doors are very heavy and have great sound proofing, being heavy, it was definitely a struggle to try to open the door in my wheelchair. A simple door assist is all that is needed. Put your card in, or hit a button, or even just start to open the door and the hydraulics finishes opening, and then closing behind you. Its almost impossible to be independent at this hotel due to this 1 flaw.

This place is so noisy that you can't get a good night's rest. You can hear the people walking up and down the hall and in their room. This is a fairly new property for Hilton, but they were charging luxury hotel rates for that noisy motel. There are no closet to hang your clothes, safe, blanket or microwave in the room. I had two fridges in my room and I wonder why. First and last staying at a Tru by Hilton.

It’s a cute hotel, modern vibe, but the walls are thin. I could hear everything going on outside the door. The hustle and bustle of outside felt like I was out there with it. The hotel was clean except for the chair in the room, it definitely needed some tlc. No coffee pot in the room. Chose here because it was cheaper than others.

Stayed 1 night. Staff was welcoming. Breakfast was open at 6am, personally would like earlier. Food was typical, loved the uncrustables, pancake machine cooked one side, top was less cooked and machine was having issues. Coffee was awful, seems to be the way with all the Honors properties. Not sure what changed. Wipe containers available for the ocd in me that has to extra clean surfaces. We plan to stay on our return home. Thank you for keeping your property updated and clean.

Stained mattresses in 2 different rooms. Manager Kaci competed 1 night but said that most guests don’t look at the mattresses so it has not been a problem. Really - that was your explanation? They put soiled mattresses back in the rooms even if the are still dirty after cleaning. We had to get extra linens and sprayed disinfectant spray over every surface of the room. Do not recommend this hotel.

I could have used mobile checking and avoided the front desk but am glad I didn’t. The night clerk was helpful and courteous. The room was very basic but also very nice. We stayed on the 3rd floor near the front and heard no traffic noises. In the morning breakfast was basic but well stocked. Checkout was flawless. Tru by Hilton has become a brand we will seek out in the future
