Surfers Century Oceanside Apartments

location is very nice and convenient (with free parking!), close to the beach not very clean, with tons of sand stuck between the sofa cushions; bunch of construction materials stored in the closets (eg. plastic boxes, unbuilt shelves, a pair of dirty socks.... and more) its more or less a self-served apartment so there is not much to say about services, guests need to clean everything up (including washing everything, taking out ALL the trash to basement floor prior checking out), which i think is acceptable considering it being self-served; i did clear away and clean everything up before checking out but my only concern is, dont force guest to clean their stuff away when the apartment itself is not clean (with sand and construction materials, socks) NOR INSPECTED before checking other guest in, or at least should let the guest know... facilities were nice, with pool, jacuzzi, bbq area...

I honestly would spend a tad more & stay at a nicer place. I stayed here with my family & had a budget room & a nicer room, I couldn't tell the difference (not in a good way), except the balcony was slightly bigger? There was only one aircon in the room & it was in the lounge area. Both rooms had 4 beds, however only 2 chairs on the balcony? I personally do not agree with having to wash my own dishes, for the main reason that guests are not held to the appropriate cleaning standards, how am I to trust that the previous guest has cleaned effectively? I know this is becoming popular with accommodation but it is unhygienic & the whole reason I stay at a hotel is so I don't have to do these things. The room is not cleaned properly; behind the bin, blinds, bathroom, etc. There was hardly any water pressure & I couldn't shower when someone was using the ensuite shower, it was freezing. DVD player was missing a cord & had no batteries. $200 deposit for each room, meaning I was out $400 of my holiday money straight up. On the plus side, great location down the road from Infinity, etc. Across the street from the beach, awesome tennis court with racquets & balls in the cupboard, markets & restaurants down the road, Balcony faces the beach & is really nice. Self contained, comfy couch with cozzie blanket, Austar/Foxtel & nice dining seating. Washing machine.
