Love that the homestay was within the quiet neighbourhood, it is walking distance to pingjiang street & humble administrator garden, and around 20 minute walk away from the nearest metro station. overall had a good stay here with friendly service staff.

The staff are very nice and willing to help if you need extra water. The location is close enough to the main touristy street but far enough away to be quiet. The room itself is very clean and well-equipped--we liked the tea set. Our only problem was that the bidet did not work :( (at least the toilet flushed though!)

First off I think it is ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY to know that the description of amenities etc. That C-Trip has on this page is not correct at all. This is for C-Trip to fix, but it might have helped us manage our expectations better. There is no restaurant, no porter, no Concierge car etc. This place is a Home Stay, not a hotel. It does not have all the amenities of a hotel. And that is important. But the people who run it, do so with kindness and a friendly style, however it is not a slick, smooth running establishment so don't expect that. In terms of accommodation, the room was nice and spacious, the bathroom with the Japanese toilet was fun, and it was clean. There was bottled water and tea provided, though just for the first day, and there was great air-conditioning. There is also a washing machine to do a bit of laundry and a place to dry it which also happens to be on the communal balcony (remember this is a home not a hotel). The bins in our room were not emptied every day, and we were not sure if we had to do it, or if there was a room service. That said, the Family who run it are absolutely adorable, Grandma is lovely. It is clear they were opening their home to travellers. And there are two cuddly kitties with whom a spent a cuddly time. One of the greatest advantages in my opinion but also perhaps for some travellers is the setting. It is in old Suzhou Hutongs, which are not everyone's cup of tea, they are sometimes very "grass roots" and not in a pleasant way. However, for me personally it was a wonderful way to see how people live away from the glitz and the glamour. It is a close walk to Pingjiang Lu, and lots of gardens are no more than 15mins away. We had a pleasant little stay here.

Fantastic location, away from the busy roads meaning it’s really quiet at night but close enough so you can get to where you need to be. The room felt quite modern and was acceptably clean. Even though I don’t think English could be spoken, we received very nice hospitality from who we believe were the owners and a simple check-in.

Room is clean and has quite good location near Pingjiang road. However, the room description says there is balcony with river view, but actually the room doesn’t have balcony; you need to go out to the common hall to see a little bit of view. Worst thing is the toilet, the water pressure is too weak that flushing is not enough, you need to manually pour water from the bucket to the toilet to flush. This makes me super annoyed and didn’t want to use the toilet at all. Luckily i only stay for one night.

Location is good. 5min walk to Pingjiang Road. Noisy at night with periodic beeping.

The neighbourhood is nice and the cats are cute. It is located in the quieter area of the Ping Jiang road, where u are greeted with locals washing clothes and chatting near the river every morning. It is very close to the tourists spots and can arrive to the ping tan performance on foot. However, the hygiene condition is definitely not the best for the price. In fact, the facilities in the room are quite old and rusty. But overall it’s a pleasant and acceptable stay.

This is such a lovely little homestay! We struggled to find the entrance since Tencent Maps sent us a street over, but after adding them on WeChat they sent us a pin right away and helped us make it (see photo!). The room was clean, well-air-conditioned, well thought out, and we had so much fun with the Japanese toilet! My chinese is limited to basic conversation only but staff were friendly and the lady at the desk on the day we checked out showed us her newborn kittens! Super super happy all round with this stay! Note to other guests: - Taxis will have to drop you a few streets away as much of the old town's streets are too narrow for cars. - The entrance is right on the canal, not round a corner. - The door is open at all times, so don't worry if you're back late!

Excellent little guesthouse just a five minute walk from Pingjiang walking street. Located in the middle of a network of traditional houses and lanes, it's an ideal place to get that traditional feel of old Suzhou. The room was cozy, warm, and clean. Highly recommended.

Absolutely wonderful home stay right along the canal. The building is a older, but everything is so comfortable that it is ok! Highly recommend. Location is great too — just a short walk from Pingjiang Road but without any of the noise.

民宿老闆娘太熱情了 環境超級好 這兩天温度有點低 主動詢問是否需要被子 特別貼心 周邊景區都很近 步行幾百米都能到 體會到小橋流水人家的感覺 有機會下次還來

是我喜歡的蘇式小院，小橋流水，環境乾淨整潔，老闆也特別熱情，性價比超高，離平江路很近，地理位置也好

따뜻하고 정이 넘치는 사장님이 계시는 숙소입니다! 사랑스러운 고양이들도 있어요! 숙소가 구시가지 안에 있어서 핑장루 등 관광지와 가까워요.(도보) 숙소 내부는 사진과 같고 깨끗합니다!! 숙소에 담배 냄새도 없었구요!! 물과 티도 준비되어 있어요. 수압도 짱짱하고 뜨거운 물도 잘 나옵니다! 제가 갔을 때 밤에는 기온이 떨어져서 조금 추운 날씨였는데 천장에서 히터도 나오고 침구도 따뜻하고 포근해서 꿀잠 잤습니다🤍ㅎㅎㅎㅎㅎ 또한 이 숙소를 선택했던 가장 큰 이유! 현지인분들이 사시는 주택가에 위치해 있습니다! 그래서 주변이 조용해요(제게 너무 중요한 숙면) 숙소 가는 길에 노을이 지는데 정말 예뻤고 1인 여행인 이었는데 밤에도 전혀! 무섭지 않았습니다! 밤에 숙소로 돌아가는 길에 쑤저우 강가 따라 길을 걷다 보면 가로등 불이 강물 위에 비추어 일렁이고 집집마다 TV소리도 나고 사람들의 말소리도 가끔씩 들리고 번화가와 또 다른 정이 넘치는 따뜻한 곳 이었어요. 강물을 따라 천천히 걷다 보면 고즈넉함에 마음이 차분해져요. 하늘에는 천당이 있고 땅에는 쑤저우와 항저우가 있다. 라는 말이 있다고 하는데 정말 좋았습니다. 예약한 2박 중 다음 날 제가 심한 복통으로 여행을 더이상 할 수 없는 상황이 되었을 때 숙소 사장님께서 병원에 데려가 주시고 대사관에서 직원분들이 오시기 전까지 각종 검사 및 입원 수속 등 모든 것을 함께 해주셨습니다ㅠㅠㅠㅠ 혼자 외국이고 언어의 장벽, 아파본 적 없이 살다가 극심한 통증에 너무 무섭고ㅠㅠ 긴급수술이 필요했던 급박한 상황이었는데 집과 병원을 계속 왔다갔다 하시며 퇴원할 때까지 챙겨주셨어요ㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠ 한국에서 수술하기로 결정을 했을 때에도, 새벽에 급하게 중국에 도착했던 제 동생 아침도 챙겨주시고 훠궈 좋아한다고 사장님이 좋아하신다는 훠궈까지 선물로 주시고 캐리어도 병원까지 가져다 주셨습니다. 금식 풀리고 포장해주신 만둣국 먹고 덕분에 힘내서 무사히 한국에 힘내서 올 수 있었어요. 숙소사장님께 이 감사함을 말로 어찌 다 표현할 수 있을까요 ㅠㅠㅠㅠ 사장님 덕분에 한국와서 수술 무사히 잘 받고 회복 잘했습니다🙏🏼 단하루 중국에 있었지만(중국 첫 여행이였음) 중국인분들께 도움 정말 많이 받았습니다. 병원, 공항에서 만난 분들도 어찌나 친절하게 도움을 주시던지ㅠㅠㅠㅠ 혹시나 혼자 여행 가시거나 쑤저우에 대한 여행 정보가 별로 없어서 고민하는 분들께 꼭꼭 추천 드립니다!!!!!!! 저는 가족들이랑 꼭 다시 중국 여행가서 쑤저우 이 숙소에 묵을 겁니다!!!! 사장님은 저의 생명의 은인이에요!!!
