We enjoyed our stay at Man xin shantang weaving house hotel.
The service is good and people are helpful.
The only problem is finding the place on arrival.
It is very convenient to shop around shantang tourist places.
I'm glad that they helped us to carry our luggage all the way to the main road and find a taxi for us.

Room was superb and service was top notch! However, the cobble stone road towards the hotel was dreadful as we have big luggages with us. On the day we checked out, the staff helped us with the luggage all the way from hotel to the metro station using the back lane tar road. Excellent service from the team.

Photos and description of the rooms are deceiving, booked 2 rooms, travelled with family. One of the room stated that there is a private garden, but it's nothing in reality. Both room has no view at all. Hotel room is quite torn and old, nothing near our expectation or its description. Location is within the famous tEWt but to walk in to the hotel requires about 5mins from the spot where you can take your transport. Definitely not recommending this hotel if you are travelling with big luggage and with your parents/children even if you have one luggage per person.
With this price booked, i can stay elsewhere better in suzhou.

Location is superb. Right in the heart of Shantang street. Taxi is not able to get to hotel. Walking is manageable. I had to call hotel when I couldn’t find the place. A hotel staff came out to bring us in. Just look for these signs (see my pics) & that’s where the hotel is located.
Hotel is fairly rustic with open courtyard. Staff are friendly & always stood up to greet you. Lots & lots of restaurants, gift shops, boat ride in the area.

The toilet stink! Their shower and toilet are separated, and it feels like they don’t wash the toilet area or even mop the floor around the toilet bowl. There’s stains (likely previous guests’ urine splash) on the floor and strong urine smell!
Other than the toilet, the hotel is generally ok. It’s a little hard to locate the hotel initially as it was quite hidden. But it is located along the Shantang street which is pretty nice to walk at night. Staffs were friendly too.
Take note if you’re bringing large luggage to the hotel! Cars can’t drive in to shantang street and you will have to carry your luggage in. The bumpy ancient road is impossible to drag your luggage.

Good option if you want to stay in 园林酒店…It’s a bit troublesome as you will need to take luggage and walk out to the main junction to order car. However, they provided the service of helping customer to take luggage to the junction. Very nice experience and you will find peaceful scenery in this hotel.

The hotel looks classy and beautiful. However the bathroom and toilet floors and glass windows can be cleaner. There's rusts, used tissue (dried) stuck to the corner of the bathroom door, and the sides of the bathroom is dirty. The hotel also allows outsiders to enter via the weaving museum entrance and I find there is no privacy to the hotel guests.
