I had a very pleasant stay at Villa Weise during my time in Swakopmund. The staff are very friendly and kind. The rooms were clean and very comfortable, breakfast was ample and set in a nice loft area of the main building. Happily recommend Wiese for a restful stay while visiting Namibia.

If you are traveling in Namibia and stop in Swakopmund do yourself a favor and stay at The Residence at Villa Wiese. Tinkie, the owner will provide you with a very special stay. Close to shops and restaurants this charming place offers clean rooms with special little details. Next to the guest rooms you enter a place with unique architecture, comfy common areas and art, gifts and yummy local food options. Breakfast is plenty to fill your belly and you may even get a chance to have a cup of coffee with Tinkie to learn a bit about the area. An authentic place with folks that want you to feel at home.

Overall it was a very lovely stay. I would come again at low season. The owners are wonderful. It is in a very good location and the old building is beautiful. They only recommendation I would make to Villa Wiese if expecting a large group of vacationers, is to have a quiet time set, so the rest of the people there do no need to be up until after midnight b/c the large group feels they need to be out in the courtyard. We all know how large groups are…

The excellent hotel has a wonderful atmosphere, the essence of which is the fusion of old times with art and, above all, delicious food. You have never eaten more delicious homemade marmalade. The hotel is strategically well located: it is a short walk from the beach and a short walk from the living dunes. Speciality for western enthusiasts - a reminder of Ennio Morricone's tune. The half-timbered house The residence At Villa Wiese is on the street that will lead you to the railway station without rails. In the living dunes you will find railroad ties without rails or railway stations. :-)

We had a very good stay at The Residence At Villa Wiese. We booked a family room - it's an ensuite room with a double bed and an upstairs room with single beds for the kids.(They loved having their own space upstairs.)
The rooms are clean, comfortable and cosy.
Breakfast is included in the stay and is served buffet style, offering a variety of food.
The guest house is conveniently situated in the centre of town. We parked our car and walked everywhere. Everything (shops, restaurants, cafes etc.) is reachable within 10 minutes on foot.
The guest house also has a little deli type shop - where you can buy farm fresh produce and souvenirs made by local craftsmen.
All in all, definitely good value for money. We will definitely stay there again.

Very comfortable bed. Lovely room. Breakfast was very tasty with a lot of yummy extras. Super friendly hosts and to top it all a shop containing local goods with fresh produce, art, gifts and many more. Felt like home. Will definitely stay there again

Everything was excellent: the people, the room, the breakfast. We really enjoyed the stay. The Personal helped us also with very good information about the surrounding and practical information like where the next ATM is. The parking lot is locked overnight.
