Residence Inn Harrisburg Hershey

My room was absolutely filthy. I first noticed some stray hairs on my bed sheets and convinced myself that it was probably clean and just leftover after washing. Later I turned down my bed and in the middle was a big, juicy stain! The sheets were definitely dirty. I told the front desk and they made me walk to them to get new sheets at 11pm. I had to leave my sleeping 6 month and 11 year old in the room while I ran to the front desk for new sheets. While there, I was eventually given sheets after waiting 15 min and told o make my own bed. We had even looked up that my room was a king bed. When I got back to my room and stripped my bed my fitted sheet didn't fit. At this point I am exhausted after driving 4.5 hrs and ready to cry. I call the front desk and ask them to please bring me the right sheet. They refuse and tell me I have to come to them. I again leave my 11 year old and infant alone to walk to the front desk to grab sheets. This time she says I hope these are the right ones it is hard to tell. I say I how so too. Turns out she gave me 2 top sheets. Whatever at least (I think) I did not sleep on dirty sheets. Also my patents room had a dishwasher full of dirty dishes. My bathroom was full of mold and mildew.

I booked 3 rooms for me and my wife, my in-laws, and my niece and nephew. Check in took quite some time but the stay itself was good. The rooms were very spacious and clean. Plenty of space to unpack and put our stuff. I booked it with a different travel portal so I wasn't eligible to use my Marriott platinum status for a 4 pm late checkout but the staff was accommodating and granted us a 1 pm late checkout. The pool wasn't too cold either when we went early in the morning and the kids enjoyed it. If we go to Hershey Park again we will definitely stay here again.

My wife and I stayed here as our midpoint on our way to South Carolina. I booked through Bonvoy Marriott from the road so we didnt really look into its details. It is on their list as an extended stay hotel which usually means it has some sort of kitchen type area and this did. Check in was completed at the front desk by a very courteous staff person. The lobby area and dining area were very clean and organized. All entrances were from the outside and easy to navigate. The room(s) were dated with a noticeable large stain on the floor as you walk in. The mattress had old stains on it as well found during our bedbug inspection. NO bed bugs were found! The kitchen area was clean and it had coffee and I drink more than I should so the friendly desk clerk was very helpful with this. The bathroom was clean but the seat has a broken stand off under it. The bed was VERY comfortable but the fitted sheet for the king fit like a fat chick in a thong and unlike a fat chick in a thong it was able to stay on all night! The pillows I called wonder bread pillows cause when you lay your head on them you wondered where they went. We did go for a quick dip in the pool and that area was clean and the pool was clean. Only issue here were the towels, I think they have used the same ones for maybe 20 years. They were pretty thin and well used but clean. All in All it was a place to sleep and it did that job. The front desk has a policy where they call after you check in and make sure everything is ok...GREAT POLICY! Only thing was we checked in around 8:30, went for a quick swim then went to bed. Sleeping very well at 10:30 when the front desk made their call. When I brought this to the attention of the front desk in the morning they were again incredible and it the defense of the young lady on the night shift she was new . I was able to get back to sleep almost instantly my wife however it took several hours. For the price it worked but I would definitely take a few minutes the next time and make a better choice.

Dirty and disgusting bathrooms I rented this room for a Hershey Park visit. The back of the toilet had long black hair and dry urine on it. I told the front desk. She said that housekeeping was off but would send them over first thing the next morning. I put a towel on the toilet and we all used the other one.(PS - the wine glasses had lipstick still on them too). We ate out and avoided using any dishes. Nobody ever showed up. I called the front desk again / they said they would call back. Nothing. Seriously I wasn’t looking for fancy. All i ask for is cleanliness. If that’s what you are looking for - avoid this place.

My family and I stayed at the Residence Inn in December for a weekend trip to Hershey. From the minute that we arrived we were treated like friends. We arrived early and Kenny, at the front desk, immediately greeted us and checked us in. We have a toddler who is very shy. By the time we were done with check-in she was talking with Kenny like she had known him for ages. He even gave her a Hershey bar :) Upon initial inspection the lobby looked very clean. Kenny put us in the building where the large indoor pool was located in case we had time for a swim. When we got to our room everything was very clean and spacious. We reserved a one bedroom suite. We looked at the pool and it looked and smelled very clean. There are a few separate buildings on the property. it is not one massive building which really did not matter. It was very quite which was a plus. This property is only about 12 min away from Hershey Park, right off of the highway. There are tons of restaurants in the area and Kenny was very knowledgeable and offered plenty of suggestions. This property offers a nice breakfast in the lobby as well. Each morning there was a nice selection of hot food, cold food, cereal, muffins, yogurt, etc. There were even gluten free selections. The coffee bar also offered non-dairy items to add to your coffee. The breakfast was constantly being replenished and the staff was in no rush to clean it up if people were still eating. There was seating both upstairs and downstairs. All in all we had an amazing stay and credit a lot of that with Kenny and how friendly he was. We will definitely stay at this hotel the next time we are in Hershey.

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. Front desk service is the friendliest and most attentive. Kenny is the best and the task force GM they had on property at this time, so professional. I could not have asked for better staff to be working the day of my arrival and departure. The housekeeping staff, they did such a beautiful job cleaning the room. I walked in and yu could SMELL how clean it was. They did such an amazing job and they are also just so sweet. The night auditor was helping to prepare breakfast this morning, he was so sweet and energetic, definitely helped to make my morning. Overall the staff here does an amazing job to keep the property beautiful, thank yu, not only to the staff I spoke to, but to maintenance as well, the landscapers, and any other staff I did not get to speak to. Yu guys are amazing and I will gladly return to this property with a smiling face.

It doesn't state in any ad that they only service your room every other day, but leave you only enough amenities for one day. Then the last day don't plan for full service. Then when there is service it's half done... someone else hair in the tub, sinks, dirty dishes rag vs clean kitchen towel/cloth, missing dishes, unmade bed, not enough wash clothes, no vacuuming... Who wants to take time from their vacation to have them come back into your room once you have returned from a full day. Service yourself with trips to the front desk. :( Yet pay the same cost as a full service hotel. Marriott has failed me twice now. ..

This property fulfills all expectations of a Residence Inn...quiet comfortable room, pleasant folks behind the desk and a really nice breakfast, including the cinnamon waffles.But, why charge $5 for parking? This is not in an urban setting, nor is it adjacent to an airport? Five dollars? If you're going to charge for parking, you might as well charge $10, $15 ...make it worth your while. It gets worse. I mentioned this on a hotel survey from Marriott and received a nice email from Christine, the manager. She apologized and said a Lifetime Titanium member should not have been charged for parking, and she would see to it that I would get a refund. It's been four weeks, and I'm still waiting.

This hotel was by the best hotel I have stayed at in a very long time. From the beginning at check in we were there like two and half hours before check in time and the gentlemen said that the room was ready and could check in now. Super nice gentlemen and explained everything we needed to know about the stay. Would give him a 10 out of 10 star. Wow that was great news right from the start. We drove down to our room and when we got into the room boy was it a 10 star by far. Everything was so neat and organized. Could not find one fault in the room. Went and walked around the hotel and there is an indoor pool and an outdoor pool. My daughter went in the indoor pool and loved it to the max. She said this is the best pool ever. At breakfast time the buffet was awesome. so much variety of food and drinks. All fresh and delicious. The breakfast staff was very nice and helpful. They even had cookies out for a snack in the afternoon which were yummy I mean so yummy. Everyone that you ran into staff wise were very kind and friendly. We were there for the weekend to visit Hershey Park. If I am ever in the area again I will surely stay there for sure. Thank you for such a pleasant stay with no issues at all! Jill
