InterContinental Sydney, an IHG Hotel recensioner

Room was great big enough and comfortable but strangely 🛀 no bathtub also felt a little dark in bathroom. Breakfast was good not excellent, we had 3 morning breakfast everyday the same not much hot food choices either, services were great tho’ thx anyway it was a good stay cheers

Great location. Nice view of the museum. Nice choice of cups and mugs. Uncomfortable duvets and way too tucked. Breakfast wasn’t great, a bit disappointing for Intercontinental, not very fresh or nicely displayed as it was separated between two small rooms. And we had to wait a while for the staff to notice us and let us in, we weren’t able to choose where to sit either even though it was mostly empty. We were surprised as we had tried the M*rriot breakfast in the same neighborhood which was much better, from the quality of the products, to the selection or the way we were welcomed.

Service was good and attentive. We arrived early in the morning and the reception offered to send me a whasapp once my room is ready and my bags were already in the room waiting. Location is close to circular Quey and a short walk to the opera house. Staff makes u feel very welcomed. I think they charged me AUD $20 for a bucket of ice which I asked for as their chiller in the minibar was not cold enough to chill my drinks, I only saw that on my credit card after I checked out, which was unexpected but well, I can’t be bothered to challenge as it was a nice stay anyways.

If you want to participate Ice bucket Challenge in the hotel. It will be very hard. Because you have to wait more than one hour for getting ice burket.

Location is great. easy access to harbour bridge & opera house.

Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed the hotel - ranging from the spectacular location, within walking distance to the pier and Opera House to the in-room dining experience. The room was clean and spacious. Would recommend to families who are looking for a spending time in the city.

Great location, good amenities, prompt service. Everything you could ask for in a hotel, and awesome value for the price.

It’s okay.

Location is great and the hotel is beautiful. Something to improve is the water pressure for shower and the ventilation in the bathroom.

Due to system issue, room was not ready by check-in time. When checked in, couch was very dirty(photo), slippers not there, and amenities in the bathroom was not there too. Not recommend.

Served its purpose for the traveler. Good room and amenities. Staff are also friendly and accommodating. Hope you can continue the quality service. Will stay again in the future.

Room looks old even though the hotel mentioned just renovated. Surprised that the sound proofing between rooms were bad. The cleaning was not entirely clean and the cleaner did not check and replenish the tissue papers. Breakfast was not of high quality. The hotel used many inexperienced waitresses and they basically not sure of what to do. I have 3 waitresses came up to me one after another and asked me the same question on two days, as if I am their training target. Intercontinental hotel supposed to be a five stars boutique hotel but I felt they are more like a three stars hotel after my stay. I will never stay at intercontinental hotel anymore.

Hotel is in a great location just a short walk up from circular quay. Customer service was great. View from the room was nice. Bed was a little softer than I like but it’s a hotel so not a major problem. Breakfast was nice. Just remember that check out is at 11am as your room key will stop working and will need to go down to the lobby and get the key re-activated to get access to the room again.
