Guide Hotel Taipei Chongqing

One of the worse hotel I stayed in a while. Very expensive for the lack of facility and bad experience. First of all, the location isn't near as it shows on the map in relation to the taipei main station. its a good 13-15mins walk and the walk is rough. uneven pavement and pot holes makes the walk that much harder when carrying your luggage in the humid temperature. GPS isnt friendly in the immediate area of the taipei main station poor signal or gps compass isnt sensitive enough to give accurate direction until you are out of the station area. when arrived the front desk guy just wanted to chill and not work because he refuse to help me check-in manually. He kept asking me to use the kiosk to check in without wanting to offer checking in the conventional way. He was Just being lazy! After I have a long train ride and walked a long way dragging my luggage in rough condition he should provide basic service to check me in and let me take a breather. Lastly, the room is extremely out-dated with ugly old furniture. carpet is dirty, caulking is moldy, It feels like a cheap motel in the 80's. Therefore, for all the above reasons the room shouldn't be $90+usd per night. Will definitely not visit this property again.

The location is great. Sound proof of the room needs to be improved because we could hear people talking outside the room.

The guide hotel is located on a toplocation. The horel recieves a lot of costumers. So they can help you in english if needed. Some are kind some are not. So it’s just which one you had that day. For the rest the room is clean, the weird thing is the location off the airco remote and the card to enter the room is very stubborn. I met some other people and they had the same issue. For a 4-star hotel, would be nice to work on that.
