First Hotel recensioner

We stayed 3 nights at First Hotel and in that time found 5 cockroaches in our room. These included some baby cockroaches, which indicates there is a nest somewhere nearby and more roaches beyond just the few we saw in our room. There was also unfortunately quite a bit of hair from previous guests that was on the sink, floor and bathtub in our bathroom. I’m not sure if it’s an issue with cleaning process not being detailed, or maybe cleaning staff vision. The breakfast was also really limited and not tasty – tofu and chicken way too salty, quality mediocre and just not tasty unfortunately. We will not be staying at First Hotel again. The location is great, but if you want the same location and you can afford it, I would recommend staying at the Parkview Taipei hotel two doors down. Our friends were staying there and we saw their room. The inside of the Parkview Taipei was much cleaner and newer, and the room was much nicer and more modern - and cleaner - than the First Hotel.

This is perhaps the “First” hotel I will not ever go back or recommend. Reason (1): It is very unhygienic full of dust everywhere in the room, even sometimes on wall. Reason (2): Majority of staff are not that friendly or attentive, make it worth when even some are more aggressive instead. Reason (3): It is not good with its price, there are way better options with better service, cleanliness, location and even breakfast. I thought about it how to describe, but still I think this is not 3* hotel at all…

great value for location, still level of services average while breakfast shines with color for its class, yet wifi is You Tube-less, giving a big Plus for its money

It's quite centrally located - there are well-served bus stops right outside the hotel, but the MRT is a short walk away. The breakfast selection was small so we didn't eat there for all the 5 days we were there. The main highlight was the pork floss. I feel obliged to give a low rating for the facilities because we picked the hotel specifically for the fitness room, but when we got there, we were told it was no longer available. Please update your listing. We didn't mind the classic aesthetic and basic room facilities, however, it was a bit dusty and we were sneezing.

Everything are ok but the hotel should do updates on the bathrooms as we stayed in 3 double single beds for 3 rooms all require renovations.

Located near to the MRT station (green line - Songjiang Nanjing), about 5-minute walking distance. 24-hour front desk, old traditional kind of hotel. Basic facilities.

Location is very good to transport around Taipei and price is appropriate with breakfast.

It’s a very good hotel in Taipei. Good location, kind crews, nice breakfast. The cleaning staff is also kind facility is old though. I’d like to make a reservation again when I travel to there. Thanks.

The room is clean and breakfast was so delicious.

Used to be 3 stars hotel but without renovation nor maintenance. So the room is quite old and the sound proof id totally unacceptable. But the room was comfortable. No any facilities available. Comes with simple breakfast.

A decently located budget hotel that doesn't offer much in the way of amenities and isn't as clean and modern as you might expect.
