"recently stayed at MGH Mitsui Garden Hotel Taipei Zhongxiao and were pleasantly surprised by how comfortable and convenient everything was. As two older adults, we appreciated how easy it was to get around—the hotel is literally next to the MRT, so moving between sights, cafes, and shopping areas was effortless without needing long walks. The hotel has a calm, modern Japanese feel that made us feel relaxed the moment we stepped in. Our room was clean, well-designed, and quiet, with a very comfortable bed that gave us good rest throughout the trip. The bathroom layout was practical and safe, and we liked that everything was thoughtfully arranged. The staff were consistently polite, friendly, and patient, and they helped us with directions and dining suggestions whenever we asked. We also enjoyed the public bath in the evenings—very soothing for tired legs after a full day out. Overall, it was a comfortable and pleasant stay with excellent value. Take a look at the breakfast spread. We would happily return to MGH Mitsui Garden Taipei Zhongxiao on our next visit to Taipei."

"Check in lobby is at level 3. Is not a fancy or luxury hotel but the room is clean. Linen are soft. Room cleaning has to make an appointment one day before. The facilities are running down. Location is convenient near red and blue lines. Is about 11mins walk to ximending. The only issue we had was the fire siren went off at 5:30am. The fire brigade and police came after. There is a breakfast spot on the opposite right side corner. Was told the hotel always have the fire alarm. Enjoy your stay!"

"This is an amazing hotel for solo travellers especially for ladies. The building is only for girls so it’s safe, though Taiwan is very safe overall. It’s located near exit Z6 of Taipei Main Station but if you have a luggage you might want to find another exit with escalator. The location is a fee minutes walk from Ximending and Taipei Main Station so it’s nice. The receptionists in the front desk are very helpful. I actually got to meet three different receptionists; for check-in, when I had to exchange coins for my laundy, for check-out. The bathroom is clean although the shower leaks because some guests use too much pressure and water is leaking on the corners of the door/walls. It’s surprisingly not as loud as I expected it to be when I’m inside my room, I didn’t use the ear plugs they provided. Just wanted to thank the lady during check-out who allowed me to check-out at 12nn instead of 11am. You’re very much appreciated. When I come back to Taiwan, I will definitely book this hotel again :)"

"Very good location with nice local food within short walk. Entrance to Taipei main station is within 2 minutes and largely sheltered. Just that the nearest exits are within staircases only. 10 minute walk to ximending 20 minute walk to ningxia night market. Many bus options to take you around the city too. Room was spacious but my room type is in one stack and all faces a back alley. The other room types are front facing. It was okay for us as we were mostly out and about. Hotel does not provide disposable items like toothbrush, cotton buds, etc. there are convenient stores nearby if you need anything. There is shampoo conditioner and body wash in the toilet. Bathroom slippers are also given in room. We get 2 bottles of mineral water a day and the laundry room on level 1 has a water dispenser. We were told guests can get their laundry done free at the machines but we did not try. No frills hotel that is good for a short stay in Taipei. Very polite and informative front desk staff."

"Älskar platsen som är i Ximending-området och framför tunnelbaneutgången, bekvämt att ströva omkring till sent på natten. Men besvikna när vi fick reda på rummet vi bor på grund av bristen på detaljer vid bokning. Det annonserades som rum med fönster men kunde inte öppnas. Men i själva verket är det ett litet fönster (cirka 60 cm? Bredd) som vetter mot nästa byggnadsfönster och behöver därför stänga det hela tiden. Kanske vore det bättre att veta i förväg att detta är ett rum utan fönster eller utsikt för att undvika besvikelse. Sängen är fast och storleken på rummet är bra. Utformningen av toalett- och duschutrymmet är bra men valet av kakel kan vara bättre för att undvika mögel som syns vid duschutrymmet. Frukost pålägg är anständigt och hälsosammare val slag."

"Hotel is fairly new, common area and bathroom also new. Just like any other mitsui garden, layout and bed, toiletries, common bath house are consistent. However, this hotel has no gym, only restaurant is very small. It has a free common area level 2 for coffee and chill. I didn’t appreciate the cleanliness was not up to normal Japanese standard. We had a dirty cup inside the room and the floor was super dirty (you can see it from our disposable slippers’ back) - not very comforting when I am bringing my two year old here and paying for mitsui garden price. Also, if you order food and delivery, they won’t deliver to your door and they don’t ring to notify your food has arrived."

"This hotel was great! Would stay here again.  Location is great. Just take exit 3 or 4 from the Shandao Temple station (useful line btw). A famous breakfast option within a couple of minutes walk and there’s a supermarket there too.  Service was prompt and courteous. We forgot to cancel the do not disturb sign one day and asked for towels when we got back. They promptly came up with the full set, including the floor towels and wanted to do the replacement and set up for us too.  Room was clean and amenities sufficient (body soap, shampoo conditioner, body lotion). No disposables but we were told beforehand and were prepared. Not a problem at all.  We didn’t take breakfast at the hotel, which would have been provided by Starbucks which they’ve partnered at the ground floor. Hotel guests enjoy a 10 percent discount at the Starbucks too.  The hotel gym is small but sufficient, three treadmills and one elliptical. There was no one else there at 7am."
