Takanini Park Motor Lodge

Booked 5 rooms, 4 nights, for group of 12, most of who are minors. Very dated rooms. Netting curtains were ripped provided no privacy in some rooms. Dishes in some rooms were dirty and appeared unwashed. One room had broken egg on floor when we moved in. Asked to have it removed and clean the floor. Egg was removed egg white was left on the floor. Although the owner was helpful the manager was an absolute a--. He was unfriendly, requests seems like a burden for him to complete. The rooms were (we were told when we inquired) only cleaned every 2nd day. Surely there is a requirement to replenish condiments clean rooms, change linen and towels daily. The condiments were never replenished. Emptying of room rubbish bins were done when we pressured the manager. The front desk was never manned and customers had to call a number which at times was not answered or delayed in responding. Is this value for money? No. Overall very poor service and below average rooms, I severely question the hygiene of the rooms. Customers expect more than what we were presented with. This place lowered the bar for accommodation. Come on TPML do way better, that's your challenge.
