Tabino Hotel Hida Takayama

I like the hotel layout as a conventional tradition building as compared to those high rise buildings. Woods structure gives homely feels. The services staff are polite and proficient in English which is very helpful when I approached them for service. The bus shuttle service from hotel to town area/ bus n train terminals provides much needed convenience for hotel guests to move around.

The hotel provided us with a welcome drink (5-7pm) and snacks(a small bowl of ramen or vanilla ice cream) from 8pm. A convinience store just opposite to the hotel so you can buy snacks and drinks. A nice onsen (one indoor and one outdoor). Everything was clean. You can get cold tea or hot water anytime in the lobby. Bed was comfortable. Breakfast was okay with some famous local food. Not many food choices.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Tabino Hotel while exploring Shirakawago, and it was the perfect choice! The hotel is ideally located, making it easy to access the stunning village and its famous thatched-roof houses.  What truly impressed me were the many free amenities offered, from the on-site hot springs to complimentary snacks and beverages. The breakfast was a highlight—delicious and plentiful, with a great selection of both local and international dishes. The staff were welcoming and attentive, making my stay even more enjoyable. If you’re visiting Shirakawago, I highly recommend Tabino Hotel for a comfortable and convenient stay!

This is very well kept 3 star hotel is 5 to 10 minutes shuttle outside of the centre of Takayama. It’s an absolute gem. The hotel provides a shuttle from the station - there’s a one person staffed office ton can have tea and coffee in while waiting opposite the station - and it’s regular and timely. The staff are delightful and courteous and helpful. The rooms are nothing exciting but they’re spacious enough and very clean and regularly tended. The happy hours at 5 and the complimentary ramen at 8 is lovely. Across the road there’s a large family mart that has all the essentials and food for an evening meal. Despite the motel-vibe, there’s just a great atmosphere about the place and the staff should be commended. Thank you for making our trip so memorable, Torbino hotel

The hotel is a bit far from the city centre but they have a shuttle bus that makes it very convenient. Being able to combine in a quite place and making easy to go to the city
