Pugdundee Safaris- Tree House Hideaway

I stayed at three Pugdundee properties, Bandhavgarh, Kanha and Pench for my photo safari over two weeks. The food was outstanding at all three properties with individually plated meals. No two meals were the same. Chef’s selections from their private gardens were amazing. Rooms were spacious, clean and stocked with the best French Press coffee I’ve ever had. (I know nothing about coffee, but I drank it black with sugar. Now I can never go back to Starbucks.) The staff was fantastic, attentive and friendly, aiming to cater to your every need. I’d stay here again. 5 stars. As for the safari drives, the drivers come from the lodge and the guides come from the parks. The guides and drivers are tipped separately. Drivers get about twice as much as guides per outing. We had morning and afternoon safaris. There is a separate tip box for all hotel staff. And everyone works extra hard to make sure your stay is enjoyable and memorable. A trip of a lifetime.

spent 8 days here in our quest to see tigers in the wild. We were not disappointed! Our naturalist Priyo was a very knowledgeable guide. The resort itself was fantastic. Our room was large, comfortable, and had a great shower room. The food was excellent, whether Indian, or continental. The dining room and bar can only be described as wonderful, created around a mahua tree. The staff was excellent being very attentive, and nothing would phase them.

I cannot recommend this resort enough. The staff were brilliant, the resort was clean and had everything you needed and the food was beautiful. We were looked after every step of the way and the staff were very caring towards our children (aged 10 and 7). We came in April and were very lucky to see 4 tigers; so a big shout out to Priyo our driver and conservation expert and the guides for giving us memories we’ll never forget. Thank you to everyone at the resort for making our stay so enjoyable!!!
