We loved Chinook Wind Cabins! Located just next to "downtown" Talkeetna and was walking distance to everything we wanted. The cabin had everything we wanted and was very comfortable. Owners were great! Food in town was also really good and shops were fun.

Really great cabins! A stone’s throw from the restaurants & bars in Talkeetna. There’s everything you’d want in the cabins. They’re warm, very well decorated with all the conveniences. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend or stay there again if we were ever back in Talkeetna.

What a way to end our two week tour of Alaska. We traveled with two other couples and we all said that this was the best and only place we wanted to spend our last night in Alaska! The owners were super sweet and gave us an amazing recommendation on where to eat. The cabins were squeaky clean, really updated and fully stocked. Beds were very very comfortable.

What a stupendous experience! Lots of room, fully equipped cabin and an outdoor silo stove under cover. What’s not to love. A great get-away spot, close to town and all its shops and amenities. Great friendly and knowledgeable staff. We’ll not stay anywhere else in Talkeetna!!!

The room was spacious and clean. Being in a cabin meant that we didn’t hear the neighbors upstairs or in the next room. We truly enjoyed our stay and would definitely return. Being able to park in front of the cabin was a plus. The bed was very comfortable.

We stopped for one night at the Chinook Wind Cabins and were not disappointed! We were taking a late afternoon flight seeing tour and decided to book a night of our trip in Talkeetna. Our cabin was so cozy and exceptionally clean! There were games available, television, wifi, a nice kitchenette and super comfortable bed. Please check them out if you are in the area. You will be glad you did!

This is our family's third stay at Chinook Wind Cabins and second time in the Denali Cabin. In terms of family travel, we really appreciate the Denali Cabin's full kitchen (it's great to fix meals on our own timetable.) Chinook Wind has a wonderful location - we like being able to walk to Talkeetna's Main Street attractions, as well as the Gear Shop.

We were just here in June 2024 and the place is perfect. It's walking distance to town, yet it's quiet and peaceful. Our cabin was perfect: clean, had everything we needed. The owners/staff were helpful and very nice. I would definitely recommend this as a great place to stay.
