We had another wonderful stay at the Fairmont Taghazout for the third time, and we can’t wait to return next year! As a family of four, including our 3-year-old twin girls, we always feel right at home here. The heated pool is perfect for the kids, and the staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming. Our room with a stunning sea view was perfect for relaxing, and the breakfast was absolutely amazing. We’d especially like to thank Adil Kherrouba, who made our mornings even more special with his warm hospitality. Highly recommend this beautiful resort!

Beautiful hotel with really lovely staff. We arrived at the hotel on 21st November for a week and were given a warm welcome, a cooled wet flannel and a local drink. Check in was quick and we were shown where our room was on a plan of the site. On arriving at our room we were pleasantly surprised to see a stunning view of the beach and Atlantic Ocean, on a large balcony, straight in front of us. We had two queen size beds a lovely bathroom with a large bath and a separate shower cubicle. I use a mobility scooter as I can’t walk far or stand for very long and there was plenty of room for it in our room. The beach bar could be seen from our room and it’s monitored by the security staff who are on duty 24/7. It was easily accessible for me on my scooter. There were plenty of sun beds available and the hotel wasn’t very busy so this was the case all around the beach and pool areas. The bar-staff were very attentive and move parasols as needed, brought drinks etc. The beach is beautiful, clean and tidy. Great for surfing and body boarding which my husband loved. Camels and horses frequent the beach, give rides and paddle in the sea. They are lovely to watch. The hotel has four restaurants. All good but like other reviews we were not so impressed by the Tapa wine bar. Service was poor, food nice though. I asked for ice three times for my wine and they keep saying of course but it didn’t come until the third time of asking. The other three restaurants were all really good and no problem with the service there. At Beef and Reef there is a live local band Wednesday to Saturdays and they are really good. Coldplay, Pink Floyd etc. Well worth booking when they’re there. The food is expensive (you can only book bed and breakfast) so be prepared. There is a very accessible promenade and it leads to other hotels. We did have two nights out to dinner at one of them. Following the promenade to the left you can access a beach side restaurant which sells food, smoothies, non alcoholic drinks and lovely crepes. It’s right by where the surf schools are so you can watch the surfers which is fun. The hotel pools are nice. One is adult only (we never used that one), water was really cold. There is also a family pool by the Beef and Reef the big pool is also cold (some of the sun beds are stood in the shallow water which when it’s very hot might be nice) there is also a long thin pool ideal to swim lengths, this was much warmer, even I got in and that’s saying something! There’s a kids club which looks really good (but we didn’t have any kids with us so no actual experience of it) it has a great outdoor play area too and looks like a big club house inside. Housekeeping as mentioned in other reviews is very hit and miss. We never knew when or if they were coming. When they did come they did a good job but they took water glasses away and never returned them, same with towels, bath mats etc. we had to ring reception to ask for replacements. We had 3 nights in Marrakesh, then took a private transfer (approx 3 hours) to Taghazout Bay for 7 nights. The hotel and grounds are stunning and perfect for a relaxing break. We enjoyed all of the restaurants, but would have loved some more local dishes. Beef & Reef had great evening live music. The view from the Tapas bar is just stunning and we loved the fires up there! Our favourite restaurant was Morimoto as we loved the DJ and atmosphere outside. We walked to Taghazout on the first day (45 min walk) but hired bikes the next time which I recommend. We walked to the Rock and had lovely fresh fish. The yoga was first class and the swimming pools luxurious. Service around pools and beach at times took a while but overall great and staff friendly and happy to help. We visited the nearby golf course which also has a 9 hole course which our boys loved. We stayed in October and the weather was lovely and warm by day, but certainly cool in the morning and evenings.

A lovely hotel with great facilities set on an amazing beach. It has 4 excellent restaurants and all the staff are really helpful and very friendly. However it the little things that disappoint. The housekeeping is a little random, sometimes they turn down, sometimes they don’t. They forget to clean various parts of the room. They provide fruit daily but no mechanism to cut it. They overload with water bottles but no glasses. The gym has loads on techno equipment but nothing to wipe down after use. There’s a lovely beach path if you like to walk but apart from other hotels, nothing else in the area (unless you’re a surfer) The pools and beach deck are great with loads of very comfortable sun beds, but hard to get service. Finally the room lighting is perplexing. Our room had 2 bathrooms, when you turn the lights on in the 2nd, it turns on the lights in the cupboards. In eight days we never managed to master just having the reading lights at bedtime. Every night was a disco, trying to adjust the lighting. Overall a pleasant stay and the small issues could be easily addressed (apart from the lighting)
