Hotel Soleado

Hotel Soleado was an excellent stop on our Sicily trip. The Hotel is perfectly clean and the staff are so friendly and helpful. The Hotel is around a 5/10 minute walk to the Centre of Taormina but set in a quieter area which is nice. The pool and sunbathing area is lovely, with an amazing view of the sea.

The location of Soleado is just perfect! Walking distance from the Main Street, Corso Umberto l. The hotel’s staff is really friendly, they got a great breakfast service, the room is clean and they even take care of your car, parking it away from the hotel but always bringing it on time, when you need! Amazing! I surely recommend it! Roberto, who works there, gives valuable tips!

We visited here last year & enjoyed it so much we returned this year with our daughter. We took room 65 again which has a lovely se view and terrace as well as room 32 which has a pool view. Both rooms were spacious with modern bathrooms and everything was spotlessly clean. The air con is great to have and was really effective in the heat. It was great to have a pool to relax by especially in the afternoon when returning from a trip. Again this area was very clean and all the furniture has been replaced since last year with a more modern style. The continental breakfast offered a really good variety & the hotel also provided us with an early breakfast on the days we had trips. The bar is open until 11pm and provided a lovely space to relax, play cards or chat. Several times we made use of the beach club facility & this includes transport there and back to the beach club (SoleLuna) as well as sun beds, umbrellas, pool, snack bar, restaurant and usual changing facilities. The sea is crystal clear and was great for swimming although the beach is quite pebbly so beach shoes were essential for us. The location is great too, only 5 mins walk away from the main shopping area and about 15 mins to the bus station. The great strength of the hotel is the wonderful family that run it. They are so friendly, kind and hospitable. Nothing is too much trouble and they are alway keen to help. Roberta & Roberto in particular were brilliant. If you’re looking for a family-run hotel in Taormina then don’t hesitated to book, it’s an absolute gem.

Perfect hotel, staff extremely approachable, nothing ever seemed to be a bother. Helpful pre arrival by organising our transfers. We had 2 rooms and both were clean and tidy. Plenty towels available. Mini fridge was a good addition. Breakfast was a continental buffet and was always plenty available whatever time you went. Our son loved the endless rolls and chocolate. I would highly recommend this hotel to everyone.

We spent 4 nights in this charming hotel. It is a 2 Star hotel but has a 5 Star heart. We booked direct with the hotel which was easy as they were so responsive. We travelled as three friends and we booked three single occupancy rooms. These were on the ground floor, three floors below reception and we had help with our luggage on all the stairs. The rooms were clean and there was good storage and plenty of space. The beds were comfortable and the bathrooms were nice. We each had a refrigerator which was a bonus. Our balconies looked over the pool - which was well maintained. Breakfast was a delight with pastries, cereals, fruit, bread, eggs and tomatoes etc. The view from the breakfast room is amazing. There was always a family member at reception and they helped us with booking trips and taxis. They were very knowledgeable. There is a small bar at the hotel that is always open and they were also very happy to make us a Cup of Tea when we returned to the hotel after supper in the evenings. The location of the hotel is a short 4 minute walk from the main street of Taormina and there are no steep hills involved. We would like to thank Federica, Giovanni, Roberto, Rosetta, Roberta and Maria Luisa for their hospitality and kindness. I highly recommend this family run hotel for your stay in Taormina.

We stayed at Hotel Soleado for 3 nights as a family of four. The hotel is located on a hill where it's quiet but only a 7-min walk away from the main and busy streets where you'll find restaurants and shops. The staff was so lovely. Roberta and Roberto were great, always attentive, taking the time to answer any of our questions. They had good recommendations on where to go and how to book trips to Mount Etna. The room was clean and was being cleaned every day. We had a large double bed and two singles for the kids. The bathroom was spacious and had shelves to put toiletries bags on (it's so handy and only realise it when you go to another hotel which doesn't have any!). Shower was powerful and always had hot water. Breakfast was good, with savoury and cakes / filled sweet croissants options. The swimming pool was nice as well, despite the slightly cold water but once you're in it you quickly get used to it. There's no parking around (it's pretty hard to find parking space in Taormina anyway) so if you drive there you can leave your car to them and someone will park it away for 20€ / day. I would definitely go back there if we go to Taormina again!
