Hotel LIVVO Costa Taurito & Aquapark

There are 3 hotels in this cluster, I think some reviews here are for the other 2 hotels. Easy mistake to make. The 2 others are bigger, more central, better facilities. The hotel is clean, rooms are a decent size and it’s peaceful. The food was very limited as it’s a small hotel, we had dinner the first night then complained about lack of choice and we were able to pay 6E pp per day to eat and use facilities at the Oasis Taurito which has much greater choice of food a bigger pool/pool bar and it’s where the gym and spa is located. There’s nothing wrong with the Costa Taurito, it’s a good base to explore but if you are looking for a good all inclusive holiday and wanting a pool scene, entertainment and a lot going on, it’s probably not for you. A lot of the guests were older people travelling independently from other European countries. The entertainment for the whole group of 3 hotels is pretty poor, we hardly saw the animation team. The resort is ok but we had a car to travel to other resorts every day. The waterpark is good if you’ve got children and free to use.

Had an amazing 10 days of winter sun. The only disappointments was the food was average. It wasn't bad, but wasn't great either. Lots of food, salads, fruit, desserts available but the dinner side needed improvement. Secondly, it was annoying booking an all inclusive hotel but being told you had to pay for mini golf, tennis etc... Ive been to all inclusive hotels in the past with ALL sports included. Lastly, the service was almost great. A few miserable staff members. The ones that really stood out and were an absolute joy to meet were David, Priscilla and Yeniel. These were so friendly, always greeted us with a smile and made our holiday!!! Thank you for your kindness and serving our son Luke 1000 ice creams 🙂

We came over for October half term and was very concerned after reading the reviews online. We were overall very happy with our stay. Thought the food choice was great, drink choice good, rooms big and clean and always got a sun bed no matter what time of day we got to the pool. We did trick or treating round the other hotels in the area on Halloween and actually I far preferred our more chilled out hotel as the others seemed so big and busy. Entertainment is ok, usual hotel entertainment that is shared with the other hotels and there are lots of things to do for kids in that area, but all at extra cost so make sure you have some euros! I would say there were only a couple of downsides to the hotel itself, absolutely no entertainment in the evening, there was one night when it rained so couldn’t sit at the outside entertainment bit so sat at the hotel bar but would be good if a singer or something is also going on there, also be better if there was another pool table as there was a queue for it all the time. Pool was a bit cold, and annoying that the kids weren’t allowed to play ball or have inflatables but is what it is. Beach was nice and we went to a couple of bars down there to watch football and have lunch so more there than was expecting. We had a lovely relaxing time. Overall we had a nice stay and would recommend it to people looking for a fairly chilled week in the sun.

Been to this hotel about 10 years ago a it was good so thought i would go again. Food was awful. Rooms were same as 10 years ago and badly need updating. Life guard told everyone off and bar closed bang on 11 pm. Entertainment dire. Wouldn't go back again

With such a mixed amount of reviews I was worried about staying at this hotel however once we arrived we were pleasantly surprised. The hotel is small which I prefer, our room was spacious, clean and had what we needed. WiFi worked in room also which was a bonus for evenings when we wanted to watch movies on iPad and chill out Pool was decent size - however no floats allowed or ball. Tony kids pool was freezing! So my kids would jump in that then in main pool to make it feel warm!! I mean it’s February so the pool wasn’t going to be as warm as summertime but the weather was absolutely wonderful and cooling off in a cool pool was fine and actually didn’t stop people using it or the kids! We also visited the waterpark which is easily accessible by coming out of the hotel and taking the lift down. It’s a couple minutes walk and included with the hotel. Food and drink/ice-cream at the waterpark is also reasonable. Or you can pop out and return as many times as you like if you don’t want to spend money! We took our own water but did have food etc - usually stuff pizza, chips/nuggets etc The water was cold!! Again being the time of year and it’s salt water. Slides are good fun and we visited a couple times The evening entertainment is also down between all the hotels, plus there is a arcades, mini golf and trampolines My 7 year old enjoyed going down after dinner for an hour or 2 The shows we managed 1 and it was usual holiday stuff dancers / kids mini disco This place is good for families with young kids. Teenagers may get bored as no much aimed for them The resort in all felt safe and friendly The beach is down the end - it’s black sand. We walked down one morning before the waterpark. Looked wavy so wasn’t for us! We ate out on the last night again by the beachfront are some restaurants offering tapas/pizza which was decent and not too expensive If you like to get out an about there is a bus stop just up road which you can take and go to porta rico We took a taxi to Playa Morgan for the day which I highly recommend. Beautiful beach and on Fridays they have a market some lovely bits avail to buy Ok so back to hotel - a lot complaining about food and drinks - we never had an issue but aren’t fussy! Always food to eat and was always tasty. Some of the stuff looked a bit unusual - not our normal palate but we gave it a go and was always pleasantly surprised at how nice the food was.

This is the worst hotel I have ever been too. I don’t normally write a review but this was so bad I had to let you all know. You can’t have a ball or any rings in the pool for the kids at the hotel. The slides aren’t in the hotel and are open to the public with the water really salty which my 3 year old wouldn’t go in. No real choice in food plus had to check all meats as found some raw turkey. The rooms are standard and every time you moved on the beds you woke up due to the noise from the floor. For what we paid it was awful so please be aware of this hotel.
