Fantastic service from the owners - their restaurant recommendation (L’Idee in Beaugency) was one of our best meals in France. Lovely chateau in the Loire Valley - the Napoleon room is a huge apartment suite with great view of the garden. Grand entry has stained glass. Feels like staying in a mansion. Bathroom is nicely updated.

Sadly, we were passing through and could only stay one night. A week would have been better! Our second-floor accommodation consisted of a sitting room, a separate bedroom, and a modernly equipped bathroom. Everything was stylish and immaculately presented. The house, with its dark wood paneling and stained-glass windows is a delight, and the garden with its stream and many mature trees a restful place to spend time. I sleep best with open windows, and there was no traffic sound at all to keep me awake. Breakfast was good too.
