I had a fabulous time at Calcada Guesthouse and highly recommend it! I went for just over a month to escape the British winter for a while and chose Calcada House based on other positive reviews. It was everything I had hoped for, as was Tavira, which is a fabulous place even over the winter period. The sun shone every day and it's a great base for walking either just in the Tavira area or further afield via the buses or trains. Sangita does an amazing job managing Calcada, keeping everything clean and organised, and providing support to guests in any way they might need. I was there during the co-living/co-working period of the year, and shared the house with a wonderful group of women who enjoyed doing things together while also respecting the need to work or have some privacy. Calcada house is perfectly located in the old part of the town, and has everything you need for a very comfortable stay. I hope to return and stay there again!

A place of complete friendliness, comfort in all aspects, tranquil and totally enjoyable. Spacious common areas, very nice roof garden. It is more of a luxury villa than a b&b. Very central location, everything of interest within walking distance.

This was 1 of the loveliest places we stayed on our trip. From the outside it looked average but inside was a tranquil beautiful area. The operators were super friendly and helpful. Breakfast was delicious and served outside on the roof top patio. I would definitely stay again.

The guesthouse was very clean, welcoming and comfortable. It was in a great location and we had everything we needed. I recommend getting the morning breakfast. It was a leisurely way to start the day with a wonderful mix of breakfast fruit, yogurt, meat, cheese and breads. Our hosts were very attentive and helpful. Will definitely stay there if I get back to this charming town!

Everything was really well done. They were pro active, advised us on how to get there, where to park and everything. The apartment is amazing. When you enter you see a beautiful garden. The interior was amazing. Everything was beautifully decorated. I enjoyed the details. To top it all up we had an amazing breakfast. The lady from Nepal (unfortunately I forgot to ask her for her name) put a lot of effort in the quality of the food. It was beautifully decorated and served with a smile. Well done. We truly loved staying there.

Lovely guesthouse. Really helpful team and booked us a transfer from the airport at short notice. Gorgeous rooftop terrace. Very central location, 1min walk from the river. Gorgeous breakfast served with fresh fruit. Book early as this place is very popular.

Rooms were beautifully decorated and very clean. Sangita and team were so friendly and helpful. Close to Tavira and all the attractions of the town . Sun terrace is a beautiful place for breakfast and sit out . Reception area has a great coffee machine . Would stay again.

This was exactly what I was looking for, a place to relax get away from the city, but close to the center without all the noise. I actually didn’t need a car because the ferry to the islands are just a 5 minute walk. Restaurants are just a walk away. The staff was amazing 😄😄and very kind and helpful to all your needs. Breakfast was great 🫶🙏 Will be back 🙏

What a little gem this guest house is. Stayed 3 nights & wished we were there for longer. The breakfast is served on the roof terrace, super fresh & healthy & very generous portions. The room was spotless & the common area was more like being in someone's lounge, so welcoming. Unlimited tea & coffee available & Sangita & her team were so friendly & helpful. A few minutes walk & you are in the centre of Tavira, the bus station is 5 mins away. Would stay there again for sure.
