The Westin Resort & Spa, Himalayas

We did a 3 night trip as a couple with a teenage boy, and he had a great time. It was raining and we ended up spending most of our time indoors and in the pool with our room. We did do a small trek up to a nice spot however it was too damp to spend enough time there. The positives: - The room was fantastic (we were upgraded to a Suite with a pool). - The Japanese restaurant had amazing food - some of the nicest Sushi. - The room service food was also very good. - Overall a nice modern hotel in the hills The negatives: - Crowd management during breakfast can be better. - I don't know how environment friendly such large hotels are for a fragile ecosystem.

From the moment we arrived, our experience was far from the standards one would expect from a premium hospitality brand like Westin. Despite having made a 100% prepaid booking, the reception staff failed to verify the payment correctly and insisted we pay the full amount again. Only after we intervened did they acknowledge the error, yet they still demanded a ₹5000 security deposit, which felt unnecessary and unwelcoming given the fully prepaid nature of our booking. All these issues—ranging from poor service, lack of cleanliness, staff inattentiveness, to billing inaccuracies—paint a very troubling picture for a property that charges premium rates and markets itself as a luxury destination. Frankly, this stay fell significantly short of expectations and was not reflective of the Westin brand we trusted.

The place is matching its name and aura, a perfect combination of class with ambience. They have been able to provide a comfort relaxing atmosphere which is a need when a person is looking for a break from daily routine. Good food perfect ambience and breathtaking views from all the places of the hotel specially Toya Garden absolutely amazing view. One improvement that the place can have is to add more playing articles and engaging activities for kids in kids room People are there forte whether its housekeeping person swarnim who was very kind and super quick in whatever thing that is required for the stay.Chef Ashish Sharma have got the excellent cooking style and will always make you feel special. Moumita our host for every food outing was just so helpful and caring specially to the kid that it made our stay very helpful.

The Westin Rishikesh is a wonderful place! We visited for a day trip and loved the serene environment, delicious food, and stunning mountain views. The hotel rooms looked great too. A perfect spot for a relaxing getaway. Highly recommended

I stayed in this place for one night on 30th April, 1st May. The hotel is really upscale, luxury. Unfortunately it is letdown by really pathetic service. Rather than just saying, let me give an example. I booked this place because I was driving a EV and this place has a level 3 charger on premises. The charger is in the reception porch of the hotel. When I arrived, the charger was partially blocked by a Fortuner (ICE car). I request the valet to move the car but he plainly refused. I also saw multiple cars parked near the charger. Anyway, I somehow squeezed into the charger parking and put my car for charging. The valet came running and asked for my car keys. I politely told him that I normally don't give keys to valet because on my road trips the car is full of valuables and hotel doesn't take any responsibility for valuables. After a small argument, I finally convinced him that as soon as my car is charged, I will come down and move it to their parking myself. The funny thing is that there were multiple cars parked there and they were not bothering the valet at all. Later I realized, their parking is quite a distance away and valets don't want to walk up and down the hill so they use the area around the charger to park the cars, so they don't have to walk too much. This when most of them have golf carts to go around. Next day morning, I asked them can they drop me to the parking in their golf cart, they said the driver is not there. The hotel is in a very picturesque location and has magnificent views from the rooms. Also, food etc is great. It is just unfortunate that even with premium pricing, they can't take care of basic customer service.

The staff of the Westin is gracious, attentive, and thoughtful and caring. The food is excellent and the facility is quite new and well appointed. Everything one would expect in a 5 star. I would recommend taking the Himalayan trek with Manish to the sacred Kunjapuri Devi shakti peeth if you are in reasonable physical condition. Manish has extensive local experience and is very knowledgeable of the flora and fauna. He was helpful, and fun. The trek winds through forest and around a small village. If you leave early morning you can see Himalayan Peaks at Dawn if the day is clear. My only comment to the downside is a personal one, I go to the Himalayas for silence, and peace we have enough noise in our life. The Hotel likes to play music fairly loudly in the lobby and restaurants. I have never been to a 5 star hotel that insists on doing this, it really makes no sense to me. But as I said I still gave this experience a top rating. That one thing to me was a 'turnoff"evething else was stellar. The staff amazing.
