Our stay at La Torre del Visco was an extraordinary experience that exceeded all expectations. This rural retreat offers a perfect blend of luxury, exceptional cuisine, and breathtaking natural beauty. The hospitality at La Torre del Visco was truly outstanding, with Markus leading the way in ensuring our stay was nothing short of perfect. His attentiveness and genuine care set the tone for our entire visit, making us feel completely at home. The culinary offerings were a highlight of our stay. What impressed us most was the use of fresh, local ingredients, many of which were grown in the hotel's own garden. Our first night's dinner at the chef's table in the kitchen was unforgettable. Discussing each meticulously prepared dish with the chef provided fascinating insights and was undoubtedly one of the best moments of our week in Spain. Our junior suite was spacious and comfortable, featuring a separate sitting room with a couch in addition to the bedroom and bathroom. This extra space added to the feeling of luxury and relaxation. The hotel's commitment to showcasing the best of the region extended beyond its walls. They organized an exceptional wine tasting experience for us, arranging transportation to a local winery 45 minutes away. The winery tour was outstanding, adding another layer to our appreciation of the area's rich culinary traditions. The surrounding landscape is simply stunning, with beautiful mountain views in every direction. We took advantage of this natural beauty by embarking on a 30-45 minute hike to an immense, breathtaking dried waterfall - an experience we highly recommend to fellow travelers. La Torre del Visco truly embodies the concept of a 'home away from home', but elevated to new heights of luxury and gastronomy. Whether you're seeking relaxation, culinary adventures, or exploration of the beautiful Spanish countryside, this hotel offers it all. Our stay here was the undisputed highlight of our trip to Spain, and we're already dreaming of our return visit.

We were recommended this hotel by some great friends who ‘found this gem’ last year . .. We had just had 2 hectic days touring and sightseeing in Barcelona so were ready for a quiet 3-day break. The 3-hour drive to get there showed us how good the Spanish roads were compared to what we suffer in the UK and the last 4KM of dirt track descending to the Hotel was certainly interesting. The staff in the Hotel were excellent from the moment we arrived. Our room was very comfortable and the views spectacular and what a delight not to hear or see a TV!.. The Wi-Fi was good so we were able to keep abreast of all the shocking news away from the tranquillity of La Torre del Visco. The food is rich but excellent, so be prepared for a semi set menu of great cooking. We loved our stay and loved the peace and quiet. Jemma Markham who owns this ‘gem’ of a Hotel and is also a very special person and very helpful..She has a very interesting story…. She leads a great team.. The one fault that my wife came up with was the hardness of the lungers by the pool!!.. Uncomfortable.. Thanks for a great stay..

The bumpy road in will give you a good indication of how remote this location will feel. It is a great place to totally disconnect and relax. The staff are very friendly. The location is stunning. The property has been beautifully restored and is charming. The meals were beautifully prepared and offered plenty of variety. Our only issue was during our stay the meals were all served on the terrace where patrons are free to smoke - this is very off putting if you are not a smoker. In fact, it seems patrons are free to smoke anywhere on the property, so even while enjoying the fresh air and sunshine poolside, in what should be a natural environment, we had smokers nearby.

We had a magnificent stay at La Torre del Visco. So warm and welcoming. From the very attentive, friendly staff to the well appointed, comfortable rooms and delicious farm to table cuisine. A special added bonus was meeting fantastic people around the breakfast table. An extremely memorable stay for all the right reasons. Looking forward to going back!

Let’s begin with a warning or the bad news: We got a watch stolen/lost from our room, management contacted everyone of their staff straight away but regardless left us with a bad taste, so my warning will be to be very careful of your items especially if they are expensive. Having said that, we had a great time. Tho quiet and secluded hotel it’s great to getaway and disconnect from the world. It’s a bit expensive keeping in mind that being so secluded the only option for food is what they offer. We stayed 3days and I think was the perfect time as the pool and little hiking trails don’t offer much further than that. Top on my list was the service as was incredibly brilliant and the quality of the food everything was grown there and greatly cooked but of course that comes with a price. Overall good stay.

La Torre del Visco is, to me, one of the most welcoming places I have ever been. The property has all you need to feel at home: a peaceful environment surrounded by an olive grove and acres of forest; gardens to rest and refresh in the pool; books and bright corners in the house to sit down and relax; a wonderful wine cellar and beautiful rooms. Also, if, like us, you are more of the active type, there are trails to run starting at the property, climbing areas just a few minutes drive away, and canyons and trails in the Natural Parcs of "Els Ports" and "Tinença de Benifassà" within a slightly longer drive. However, what really makes the difference is not the building or the activities, but the people filling the place. From the gardener to the owner, they are all fantastic people willing to share the beauty of the place with us. The restaurant deserves a special mention, and the gastronomic experience is truly amazing. Ruben, the chef, really shows in the menu the respect he feels towards the products of the territory. Each course was creative in the way the ingredients were presented, and it was fun to find the vegetables we just saw in the garden on our plates and identify known flavors in creams, foams and broths. Also, do not miss the opportunity to taste some of the wines they have on the list; the sommelier will help you find something that matches your taste, and the waiting staff is lovely and really knows the products they serve. We will surely be back!
