Parador de Teruel

Está bien, pero alejado de Teruel. No se puede ir andando a la ciudad, salvo que vayas por la carretera. La habitación muy bien. El servicio de cena un poco raro: las bebidas las sacaron confundidas, y los primeros platos también...

Nette kamer maar wat gedateerd. Restaurant is echt heel matig. Te duur voor wat er wordt geboddn.

Beautiful hotel set in pretty grounds ideally situated off motorway. Very calm and tranquil setting sadly absolutely no outside space to enjoy a drink. Reception service poor hotel had special evening bbq event which was not even mentioned..Room air conditioning dreadful on full no impact temperature remained at 27 degrees. TV needed a degree to operate. No tea coffee making facilities no water provided. Restaurant menu absolutely no options for vegetarians,no option to eat outside very stuffy and expensive. Very small wine list both red and white we chose were not available

In spite of its position, near very busy roads, the Parador was calm and quiet. It is also very well situated for visiting the many interesting sites and natural parks that are nearby.

Teruel needs to provide a better taxi service. The manager at the Parador needs to put pressure on the local council.

Elegant and peaceful hotel, well positioned for visit into Teruel (a few minutes drive to the train station car park - free use - which in turn is a few minutes walk from the historic centre). Secure parking. Lovely breakfast. Helpful staff. Comfortable bed and room.

The hotel is clean and the staff are excellent and very friendly. The food is very good and the service is speedy and efficient.

Another Parador with all the merits of the chain: good beds, good bathrooms, helpful and professional staff, and good food. We have stayed in nearly 50, and this is certainly one of the most reliable ones. A really good solid place to stay, somewhere you can rely on. We were very pleased with all aspects of our visit to this hotel, from bedrooms to dinner and breakfast. A slight disadvantage, shared by many other Paradores, some of which, such as Lorca or Jaen, are poised on a mountain to above the town, is that you cannot walk into town. Not because it is on a mountain, but because it is outside the town, a 25- minute walk we were told. We asked to order a taxi, but they explained that Teruel is a small town, there are not many taxis, and it might be tricky to get one. We started the walk but soon gave up as it seemed dangerous due to a sudden lack of pavements as cars went whizzing past just feet away. So we went by car, always concerned about finding parking in a strange place, but found a carpark by the bus station which was fine.

On trying to book dinner the receptionist would not help us. There was no choice for the timing of breakfast, just a take it or leave it attitude. The bar staff was so upset about something that, on banging our glass of beer down he managed to drop it all over the table The only bright spot was an excellent choice at breakfast.
