The Snooty Fox

The Snooty Fox Sunday lunch has become an almost weekly staple. The quality and quantity of the food is excellent and the staff are attentive, but not fussy. We had a party of 8 two weeks ago, and a solo lunch today - the food and service was to the same high standard each time and I can’t recommend highly enough for a relaxed Sunday lunch.

I was given a voucher from buy a gift for afternoon tea and decided to try the snooty fox at Tetbury. When I booked the experience they could not validate my voucher so asked me to send an email which I did. After two days I phoned them and they said the voucher was ok and confirmed my booking they never replied to my original email. We then went on the day to have afternoon tea and were shown a table. We were served tea and after 40 minutes we could see they had forgotten us. There was only 3 other couples there at the time . The waited apologised and offered us a glass of champagne which my wife pointed out was included already in our booking. We did get our sandwiches and cakes in the end but I felt the whole experience was pretty poor I would not go back again.

Hotel was selling food and drink at Tetbury wool sack races. Ordered 2 pulled pork rolls Which were swiftly made with multiple sauces and salads chucked in without asking what either of us wanted inside. Super odd. Had to get rid of both as I didn’t want sauce inside and the other person I was with cannot have creamy sauces due to allergies which we were not asked about. Also no disposable cutlery or anything like that to even eat it with so we gave up & disposed of them.

Our first visit to the Cotswolds and the Snooty Fox in Tetbury, we had a great welcome and stayed in a superior room which was great. A very well laid out room with plenty of space and a good size ensuite bathroom the only negative was the water pressure but this I would assume is common for a 500 year old establishment, this did not spoil our visit. We had a great time and we were looked after by the staff at both breakfast and dinner, I would recommend this hotel as a great place to stay whilst in the Cotswolds.

Overstretched staff doing their best to maintain what was the last time we visited a great venue . But poor food poor service dint make up for a nice room . 3rd visit will struggle to book that hotel in Tetbury again as a first choice . We stay at Hatton Hotels a lot and as a Flagship in the Cotswolds it sadly was disappointing.

Super friendly and helpful staff in reception, bar and restaurant. Friends and I spent two nights at the Snooty Fox and could not find fault with anything. We received a friendly and warm welcome at reception. Our rooms exceeded our expectations and were exceptionally clean and comfortable, with all the amenities you would expect provided. Our booking included both breakfast and an allowance towards our evening meal. The menu had a brilliant choice of food for starters, mains and desserts. Everything we ordered (for both breakfast and evening meals) was well presented, tasty and plentiful. The bar offered a good selection of drinks. We had the house red with our dinner, it was very good value for money! I cannot believe that the Snooty Fox is only a 3 star hotel. It's standards are far higher. A big thank you to all at the Snooty Fox for making our stay so wonderful.
