Travelodge Tewkesbury

The hotel manager Beki was very accommodating for our group, every time we came through the door she was very welcoming and happy, and she ensured constantly that we were all okay. The rooms were clean and fans were provided in the room to keep us cool during the hot weather.

Staff are amazing. Really accommodating. From Becky the manager, to the reception staff, to the house cleaners. All fantastic.

This was a stopover on a long drive so very conveniently situated just off the M5 . Lovely welcome on check in ,there appeared to be lots of tradesmen/workers staying by the amount of vans in the car park.Lift available for upper floor.The room was super spacious curtains were closed due to the sun and windows open which helped in the heatwave.However that meant there was slight traffic noise until late.Bathroom and room were clean ..the soap pump was hopeless and sprayed all over.Minor fault though,this was a decent stay yet this Travelodge could do with a refresh as it looks tired.

Let’s start of on a good note…the room was clean and tidy. We hired a cot. However, it had a massive gap in the middle so this was not fit for purpose. We had a meal in the evening, which was freezing cold on arrival to our table. Our sausages were frozen in the middle. Mash potatoe was stone cold, peas seemed frozen still. We asked for the food to be send back and they warmed it up in the microwave. The Pizza was decent 😊 This was all not worth the price we paid which was £65. On 4 meals. Breakfast on the following morning was just as bad. Shrivelled dried mushrooms, dry hash browns. Sausages were dry and so on… This was not worth the £40 extra we paid and we are all very disappointed.

Although clean and well maintained, the beds were small, evening food was abysmal and service very poor, very understaffed with a trainee. poor 😞

Bed was uncomfortable could feel springs on sides of mattress Shower was awful kept dropping from pole. Only 1 spray available. Toilet did not flush properly. Cups dirty on arrival Breakfast was hit and missed Hash drowns hard. Sausage cheep and no taste.
