Mantra Koodam Kumbakonam - a CGH Earth Experience

This hotel is in the middle of nature. The garden is very nice and well maintained, it's a pleasure to take a walk in it. The staff is very courteous. We had dinner and breakfast and both were very good. The only regret we had is that we could not stay more than one night ... I highly recommend this hotel.

We had a fantastic experience at Mantra Koodam. The staff are so pleasant and well trained. The authentic chola inspired food at the restaurant is simply exceptional. CGH earth focusses on creating memorable experiences that differ from your routine or regular hotel stay. So if you're expecting fat menus and television in your room, this isn't the place for you - how ever if you're keen to explore cuisines made to perfection and enjoy the quiet beautiful property with aesthetically made old Tamil bungalow style rooms and immerse yourself among the sound of birds, peacocks giving you company at the tea/coffee stall (kadai) and a whole range of curated experiences like bird watching, kollam making, pottery and fish feeding to name a few, Mantra Koodam is your best bet and an unforgettable experience.

It was a lovely, unforgettable trip for my family. From the first enquiry to checkout , every team member of CGH deserves an appreciation. The rooms were clean and comfy, and food, traditional and tasty, brought back fond memories of our childhood days visit to our grandparents' home. The team at Mantrakoodam led by Mr Harish made us feel at home. A 'must do' destination for all. Thank you all at Mantrakoodam and CGH CRS for giving us a super duper holiday.

We stayed at Mantra Cottage in April 2025 as a family with two kids and had a very pleasant experience overall. The location is easily accessible from the nearest railway station, which made our travel convenient. The property is lush with trees and greenery, offering plenty of fresh air and a peaceful environment—perfect for a family break. There were several engaging activities for children, which kept them occupied in between our local sightseeing. The staff were courteous, and their service was commendable. The food was delicious and gut-friendly, adding to the comfort of our stay. On the whole, it was an amazing experience and we’d definitely recommend it for families looking for a peaceful retreat with plenty for kids to do.
