Alexandra Golden Boutique Hotel-Adults Only

After a fabulous review from my Daughter who went to this hotel last year, my husband and I plus two couples we know decided to book. We were all celebrating a special occasion birthdays/anniversaries and even a marriage/honeymoon. We booked bed and breakfast as I never book all inclusive when in Europe as like to get out and explore different places to eat. The hotel itself did not disappoint. Beautiful rooms and fabulous service. Our rooms were perfect, the duplex room with a beautiful and super comfy round bed and own private pool to take a dip in… really lovely. The staff are super helpful and friendly here and really couldn’t fault anything at the hotel. Loved the main pool and loved the Duck who we loved to watch everyday. The beach here is absolutely gorgeous and everyday we enjoyed the soft sand, beautiful clear water and pressing the bell to get drinks/snacks to our beds. It is very quiet in the evenings so we did enjoy going out along the beachfront to explore all the fabulous nearby restaurants and tavernas. We also had a couple of fabulously tasty lunches just in our room thanks to room service. All in all we loved it at this hotel, a lovely chilled out tranquil beautiful hotel that we would definitely come back to… Special thank you to Anastasios Alvanos for making our special occasions extra special

Small boutique hotel so never felt crowded. Food was amazing every evening. 15/20 minutes walk in each direction there are shops and bars/restaurants. Private beach and did see security moving on people that were not guests who had sat on the longer. Paid for private pool duplex room which was lovely with a big round bed. Manager was clearly visible around the hotel keeping things running smoothly. All the staff work very hard. Only criticism was we paid for all inclusive but could only choose from a very limited part of the menu. So you could order a burger and chips for lunch but not something like an omelette which is a pretty cheap option. Dinner is also not the usual set up as there is a buffet for starters/sides but for main you have a choice of 2 dishes (usually 1 fish / 1 meat). However every meal was really good so never found a night where there wasn’t anything to choose.

Just come back from a week at Alexandra Golden, glad it was only 1 week not 2 . This hotel is no way near a 5star. The main pool is a complete waste of time as there are no loungers and the pool is occupied by a duck !. It is a very cute duck, but it does mean the pool is also the ducks toilet. The food, of which there is little choice, is luke warm, bland, and repetitive. Although one day there was glazed carrots for breakfast, went well with the cold porridge ! The beach is fine although dose not get combed or cleaned, so you do have to share it with the many cigarette butts. The gardens are in need of a bit of TLC as there are many dead or dying plants and bushes. There is absolutely nothing to do in the evening, no entertainment and the local area is very run down. Sitting at the small bar area in the evening was not possible because of all the smokers, so most nights it was back to the room by 8 o'clock The rooms are of a good standard and kept very clean. The staff are excellent and the service is very good . All in all it is a good 3star but comes with a 5star price tag
