Hello dear travellers. Since the summer was at one month and half away, I decided to go at the start of the season to enjoy the silence of the island. Was a smart ideea. Not many hotels were open, but I decided from Captain`s Beach Apartments in Limenas. I pass through this location many times in the past but never stay there. After the booking, we make the plan and go to thr Thassos. When we arrived already my "batteries" start to charge.. The place has just few rooms, 5 I think and are faced to the sea. Very clean, well equipped, fridge, small kitchen with everythings you need, close to the beach..few steps away.. The hotel has his own piece of beach and terace. Wifi also to the beach as well. Not many parking places but you will find a spot for your car. I definetelly will come back soon. One of the cool place to stay in Thassos from my point of view cost versus accomodation.

My wife and I last stayed at Captains seven years ago in room 3 which was quiet small. This year we stayed for a month in room 5 a large twin bedded room with a balcony facing the beach as apposed to the old harbour. After three weeks we both got a bit restless, running out of new places to visit in the hired car, and finding different local restaurants to go to. The repetitive music coming from the Island Beach Bar just across the road didn't help either . If it wasn't for the interesting goings on traffic wise (there is nothing that resembles our highway code in Limenas) and of course people watching from our balcony I think we would have been climbing the walls. As far as I could see there have been no changes made to the property since 2016. The only real glitch is the wash room, its very small 6ftx4tf with a 2ft square shower tray a vanity unit with wash basin and a loo with no forced ventilation or opening window. As far as the kitchen is concerned there is just about enough worktop area to make a cup of tea. Actually you could boil an egg but you'd have no where to put it. If you're looking for an interesting location surrounded by several good eating places easy to walk to and stagger back from then you could do a lot worse than Captains Beach Boutique Apartments.
