Bougainvillea Apartments

This was our second stay at the Bougainvillea. The apartments are large and well equipped and the staff super friendly and very helpful. It was after office hours when we arrived and the nightwatchman even carried our bags up to our room for us. The is a supermarket at the bottom of the road where you can also get buses into St George's and it's just a 10 minute walk to the glorious Grand Anse beach. We were fortunate that there was no-one coming into our apartment when we left so we were able to keep the room until the afternoon, which was much appreciated. We hope to be back soon!

I Telica left Trinidad for my first time visit to Grenada and I have NO regret of my stay here. Rooms comfortable and peaceful The staff friendly, and everything they advertised is FACTS, I will return whenever I visit again. I love the Peace.

Do not go here. Extremely mediocre for the ridiculous amount of money you rent it for. Place is dusty with bugs everywhere as if it’s not constantly cleaned. The kitchen is the dusty area with an oven that’s unusable. Don’t even get me started on the stove. You need matches to even light it. The TV in the dining room doesn’t work for whatever reason and the poor material of a couch we got had food and dirt from the previous people who rented. IF YOU TAKE THIS HELL HOLE PLEASE KNOW YOU MAY BE TAKING COLD SHOWERS! Not to mention the drain in said shower is piss poor. It really sucks and I feel like my family should be compensated for the distress this villa caused and ruined the vacation for me personally. I’m scared to sleep even as I fear another dead insect might fall on my face or hair. The only good experience about this place was the staff honestly, they are chill people but this place definitely isn’t. Nothing about it screams $2-3k (in EC) for 9 days and honestly it IS a scam.

This is my own personal opinion of this property. If you are looking for luxury, this is not the place for you. If you are looking for a clean place to stay with priority to be close to the beach, restaurants, grocery stores, public transportation, and very good shopping, then this may be an option. Grenada is not cheap, but for me, Bougainvillea was priced right. The decor is I don't spend much time in the apartment. What I can say is, my friend and I stayed in a very large two bedroom with two bathrooms, a functional kitchen, and a large living room with a big screen TV. Every morning, I ate breakfast there, and my friend made coffee with food from the Food Fair grocery store. Other than a tour of the island, lunch and dinner were from local restaurants within walking distance. It was very hot in Grenada, so I walked to places that were close. Transportation to town was a five minute walk. The apartments are all walk ups. It is not for someone who can't walk up steps. Would I stay at Bougainvillea again? The answer is yes.

Ebbene ottimo nella sua semplicità. Pulito e ben attrezzato come cucina bagno ecc. Best, l'aria condizionata in tutto l'appartamento. Nel nostro due camere di cui una utilizzata come appoggio. 5 minuti a piedi dalla super spiaggia di grande anse. Wi-Fi ottima. Gentilissimi quando abbiamo chiesto di posticipare il check out, accordandocelo. Last but not least il giardino esterno super curato, delizia per gli occhi, Bravi

Wir hatten ein Superior Apartment im oberen Stock gebucht. Am Ankunftstag Sonntag (Büro nicht besetzt) erwartete uns bereits ein Mitarbeiter zur Schlüsselübergabe. Uns gefiel nicht, dass das Apartment zur rückwärtigen Hausseite mit unschöner Aussicht lag und zudem am Montagmorgen Lärm durch einen Hausbau einsetzte. Innerhalb kürzester Zeit konnten wir in ein anderes Apartment im 1. Stock umziehen, das uns wesentlich besser gefiel. Jedoch auch auf dieser zu einer Nebenstraße gewandten Seite gab es ab und an mal Bau- und Straßenlärm. Wir stellten fest, dass in Grenada sehr viel gebaut wird. Die Apartments sind einfach und funktional eingerichtet. Die Küche war mit allen notwendigen Utensilien ausgestattet, es gab auch eine Kaffeemaschine, einen Gasherd und eine Mikrowelle. Die Klimaanlage ist individuell regelbar. Kleine Mängel wurden innerhalb kürzester Zeit behoben. Alle 3 bis 4 Tage wurde das Apartment gereinigt und die Handtücher ausgetauscht. Für den Strand gab es extra Handtücher. Das Personal an der Rezeption war sehr freundlich und hat uns bei all unseren Fragen weitergeholfen. Für einen preisgünstigen, unkomplizierten Urlaub ist die Anlage ideal. Man sollte bedenken, dass das Preisniveau in den Hotels sehr hoch ist. Zum Grand Anse Beach sind wir ca. 8-10 min. gelaufen, man kann abkürzen, wenn man durch das Radisson Resort läuft. Ein kleines Einkaufszentrum (Grand Anse Mall) mit Supermarkt, Apotheke, Imbiss befindet sich in unmittelbarer Nähe. Gegenüber an der Hauptstraße sind die Bushaltestellen in Richtung St. George's und zum Flughafen. Wenn man keine Berührungsängste hat, kann man auf jeden Fall die laufend verkehrenden Minibusse in die Hauptstadt nehmen, Fahrt kostet US$ 1,00. Zum Flughafen selbst fährt kein Bus. Falls man keinen Mietwagen hat, muss man ein Taxi nehmen, kostet US$ 25,00. Innerhalb der Grand Anse Region kosten die Taxis US$ 20,00. Zu einer weiteren größeren Mall mit mehr Auswahl (Spiceland Mall) läuft man ca. 10 Minuten. In dieser Richtung befinden sich auch mehrere Banken mit Geldautomaten. Wenn man Bargeld umtauschen möchte, muss man an den Bankschaltern je nach Uhrzeit mit längeren Wartezeiten rechnen. Am Flughafen gibt es keine Möglichkeit zum Geldwechsel. Die Auswahl an Restaurants in der Umgebung der Apartmentanlage ist gut. Wir können die Bougainvillea Apartments weiterempfehlen.
