Travelodge Thetford Riverside

What an awful experience! Staff were useless and frankly quite rude.. young chap on reception didn’t seem interested in helping, more interested in going to sit back down. Room was filthy, when I asked for more towels and tea at reception, he huffed and seemed like it was a chore!! Outside had lots of kids hanging about, very rude. Receptionist had no interest in easing anxiety just shrugged it off. The location is in the town centre so prepare yourself! The kids were in and out of the hotel.. I understand now why travelodge is a ‘budget’ hotel. They do not care about their guests. Such a shame as this place has gone downhill. I visited in 2022 and had a lovely experience and now it seems to have fallen to shambles. The root of the problem? Negligent staff.

The room was cold when I arrived, the receptionist didn't show me to my room. There was no shower curtain in my room either. Had to hunt down the receptionistin order to get one. There was also unsavoury people hanging around outside which made me feel unsafe

Ideally placed for visiting Dads Army and Charles Burrell museums as well as a wander around town centre, also for trips out into the nearby attractions in Norfolk and Suffolk. Room was clean and well appointed for a budget hotel, bed was comfortable and hotel was well decorated. Staff were pleasant and very professional. Would be happy to stay here again

Great location in town centre with good parking facilities. I work for travelodge and I was very disappointed to see the uncleanliness of the hotel, on arrival at 4pm the floor as you arrive had had a spillage by the drinks venue machine and was sticky as if it was a few days ago as it was dry sticky. The hallways looked like they hadn't been hoovered in days. Our toilet wasn't clean on arrival. A pillow missing in the main room. Other than that the room was decent, it's just I know the high standards travelodge sets and it wasn't up to scratch.

Lovely hotel clean comfortable and staff were very helpful free carpark and free wifi for 30 mins have stayed here many times never had any problems overall it allways been a plesent stay and will continue to stay here plenty of food places in walking distance

Well presented hotel. Large free carpark at location. Entrance is secure after 10pm when keycard access is required to gain entry to reception and rooms. The rooms were modern and comfortable as was the bed. Reception staff were very helpful. 30mins free WiFi , after which is chargeable. All in all a pleasant stay.
