Druk Hotel

My experience with Hotel Druk was quite good. However, I would like to suggest extending the operating hours and staff for the spa. I waited for two days but still couldn’t get an appointment :(. I really with I can get the a chance to experience the SPA next time

One of the best place to stay in Thimpu, As the property is located mid of famous square or Clock tower, there are plenty of cafes and pubs, shops in and around this tower where you can connect with local people and wander freely. The people, their Services and Rooms are incomparable. Will visit again.

It is a very good hotel and location is excellent. The rooms are well appointed and comfortable. The service was excellent and friendly. The food and bar facilities were good. We would recommend stay at Druk for Thimphu visitors. All in allma very memorable experience.

Its a wonderful hotel in the best location in town square. Food and service r good. Rooms are done very well in typical Bhutanese creative wood work..the colors are well coordinated in bathroom too..we saw it was either grey, green or red. Highly recommend

A very good hotel .Enjoyed staying here Good food .Staff was very polite and helpful.Must stay .it is in the center of town . Book your traveling with ren tours n tracks. Their guide Mr Teshi and person on wheels Mr Yangley were too good .polite n well mannered. Jovial n humble

The main positive recommending this hotel is its location in the middle of Thimphu. I had no control over the choice of this hotel as I was on a group tour. Otherwise, it is very old and badly needs updating. Although the hotel has wifi, it is inconsistent. Light switches were very hard to figure out. The carpets are worn, “closets” are bare bones, public areas are ok, but dining room has very uncomfortable wooden chairs more appropriate to a monastery. No hair dryer or refrigerator. The room safe was locked when I arrived and when housekeeping came to unlock it, it appeared that the security of the safe was questionable; a disclaimer on top was not reassuring. Although there is apparently a room cooling and ventilation system, it doesn’t work. The windows are old and not airtight. Room smelled musty. Some of my traveling companions complained of noisy barking dogs all night, though fortunately my room was not facing the main town square. , Staff were uniformly unfriendly and quite unhelpful; I felt that asking for something - more drinking water, hair dryer, etc. was putting them out. Food at the hotel restaurant is typical Bhutanese and unremarkable.
