Absolutely loved staying here and will definitely be back! Staff were so welcoming room was stunning and wasn’t one bit of dust or dirt… can tell the staff put all their work into making it a good stay for their guests! Thankyou for having us xx

Very relaxing stay, with friendly staff We stayed 1 night in the wood store which has a private hot tub. Very clean room and the hot tub and garden area was clean and well sew decorated. On arrival we were a little early as we wanted to drop our stuff off and pop into York. The hotel manager and cleaner were very welcoming! Chatty, showed us around, very nice ladies. Room was clean and fresh, with a very comfy bed! However it did get rather hot during the night due to the lack of windows/ventilation. As the old ventilation would be to open the main front door. The only other little niggle would be that an extra mat is needed for when walking in from the hot tub into the room. You cant help but get the floor wet especially when its to cold to dry off outside after being in the hot tub. Ample car spaces and well maintained grounds. I booked on AirBnB and unfortunately i didn’t see an option for breakfast. Breakfast would have been a nice addition. Overall, we really enjoyed our night stay and will definitely return! Thank you!

Stayed for one night in The Wood Store. The room was so nice, clean and modern. Bed very comfortable and bathroom was spotless. Hot tub was perfect although later on the temperature went down a couple of degrees which on a cold night like it was made it not as cosy. But still a lovely stay. Will stay again 💗

We had a lovely Valentines weekend stay. The room was so spacious and had all the amenities needed. Nice comfy bed! They even did a little extra of putting up Valentines signs and petals on the bed which was a lovely surprise! Would love to stay again but book a hot tub room ☺️.

We stayed here over Christmas. It was a good location for visiting family and they are nice rooms. There’s a few things that could really make this better though, and not major changes. Firstly the double mattress in the Barn Room has seen better days so a swap out there would really help - it was uncomfortable and my wife chose to sleep on the cot bed instead. Secondly the shower did tend to go a bit hot and cold for the second person using it - which wasn’t awful but just a bit frustrating. Finally - no fridge. We were there for three days and it’s a self contained room not a hotel. There was very generous tea and coffee and biscuits provided but nowhere for is to store anything cold. I am dairy free so the UHT milk provided wasn’t ok for me and my son wanted something soft to drink. A small fridge to put cold drinks in isn’t just a nice to have - I’d say it’s important for a set up like this. Having said all that - that’s hopefully just constructive criticism. These are nice rooms in a good spot for the local area and I would recommend them - especially with a few tweaks.

Turned up, our key wasn't in the box we were allocated and no one was answering our calls or emails, luckily yarm cottages next door had a room available. Absolute joke of a place, do not book here 😡 they have zero customer service and are so incompetent
