We always have a wonderful time here with owners Jake and Katie. It’s a beautiful, relaxing place to be with comfortable, deluxe bedrooms and a roaring fire in the beamed restaurant and then you have the food: every mouthful is an adventure in taste. The flavour they pack into their meals is exceptional. We think they will get a Michelin star soon. We’ve been going there for two years and were among their first ever customers so we feel proud of them for doing so well. They put everything they have into making sure they achieve perfection.

I came here with my family (9 of us) for my birthday and the service was fantastic! We had the festive menu and it did not disappoint. We had complimentary bread to start which was still warm, followed by our 3 course meal. The staff brought out a special birthday dessert just for me at the end of the meal and that made the night even more special. I would 100% recommend this restaurant!

No other words can be used apart from outstanding, from the beautiful room with large four poster bed, coffee machine, fridge and lovely ensuite with a fabulous shower, the food served at dinner was the finest on offer anywhere, quite simply the best we have ever eaten, all served by the most attentive staff who answered any questions about the menu with excellent knowledge. The breakfast was just as good with a lovely range of yoghurt, cereal, fresh juices and freshly made pastries. I cannot thank everyone who made our stay extra special. We can't wait to come back

I used to stay here regularly when it was the previous owners and it became a home away from home. Over not stayed for a while but decided to give it a go again. The new owners have made some really nice changes. Very friendly atmosphere and nothing is too much trouble. The addition of the seating area in the garden and flowers on the patio make it a lovely place to sit outside and enjoy a quiet drink. Food is excellent. I nearly didn’t want to eat it as it looked so pretty. Rooms are good and WiFi reception good also. In short. Nothing not to like.

Our second visit to The Auberge - it was as great as the first! Service, room, dinner and breakfast all perfect. A very luxurious experience for a good price. If you want a top quality hotel with amazing food and service don't hesitate - it's wonderful. A great place to re-charge those batteries! Thanks to all.

Lovely host, hardworking and obvious pride in the hotel. Great room, great breakfast. Location ideal being just off the A140 so easy access to key towns/local sites. I stayed for work reasons but would definitely stay again for personal use too. Thank you

We were delighted to find such a very excellent restaurant with food of such a high standard. We were made to feel extremely welcomed by knowledgeable and friendly staff. A comfortable bed A good location for visiting places of interest in Suffolk.

if you own or run a hotel , here's some advice, book into the Auberge for a night . This is how a hotel should be run! beautiful rooms, decorated to the highest standard with high quality fittings, proper service by staff that know how to run a hotel and amazing food we spend a lovely couple of nights here and fully enjoyed the five star service and amazing room . would highly recommend this hotel

This restaurant could easily be the best kept secret in Suffolk, we recently had dinner here and the food was outstanding, the service was unbelievably polished yet extremely friendly. This was by far the best meal we have had in 2024, in fact a long time in Suffolk.
