I am a frequent business traveler and am EXTREMELY disappointed with your hotel. First, I have been there for a week and a half (so far) and my room has not been cleaned once. More problematic is that I am a lawyer here for what was scheduled to be a 2-3 week trial. I of course booked three weeks, because I have NEVER had a hotel disallow me to change my checkout date with sufficient advanced notice. Not once in 20 years. When it became clear that the trial would only last for two weeks, I immediately alerted the front desk asking to change my checkout date. That was over the weekend - a week ahead of the new checkout date I was asking for. I was told by staff at the front desk that it was not up to them, it was up to hotels.ca and so I should call them. I did so immediately. They said it was up to the hotel - exactly the opposite of what the hotel staff told me - and after three days of trying to reach someone at the hotel, they finally did and just got back to me that my request was refused. It makes absolutely no sense that you can cancel without penalty until the day before you check in, yet even with a week's advanced notice you can't change your check out date and get a refund. I travel regularly for work and will never, ever stay at this hotel again.
