Royal Thurso Hotel

The worst hotel experience I have ever had. Stayed for two nights as part of a Caledonian north coast 500 tour. The food was so bad we ate out for dinner and breakfast the next day. The dinning room was very cold and smelled of dampness. The dinning room staff had quite clearly never had any kind of training and delivered the plate Frisbee style across the table. Breakfast was no better with a plate of cold food plonked in front of you with no choice. The only member of staff who displayed any kind of professionalism was the girl on reception who helped out when our room key got stuck in the lock.

At check-in we were given a key and our room number but at no point did anyone let us know when or where breakfast was ., The room was at the front of the property. It was a Saturday night and basically from midnight until about 4am we were met with a barage of loud drunks and boy racers hooning up and down. I got hardly any sleep The poor customer experience continued at breakfast when we found the room. There was no staff to welcome us or explain how it worked. We self sat then found the food station. Which was continental. There were 3 staff standing about so I approached one and asked about a cooked breakfast. She said there was a full one but didn't seem to know what was included. I had to ask for a menu . The breakfast finally arrived and it was poor . A small sausage half a rasher of bacon . Luke warm beans in a pot . An over fried Scottish scone. I appreciate it's a low budget hotel but this was really poor.. the tea was stewed and the orange juice synthetic There was a coach party in and clearly this is who is being catered for ...but if this was my holiday experience I wouldn't be hat impressed The owner or manager was about and seemed to be the only one who had hospitality experience With some tweaks and training this could have been a much better experience and maybe some warning about Saturday nights With other accommodation including a Premier Inn you need to up your game

Geographically Royal Thurso Hotel is well situated. Its employees alone are too friendly and willing to go that extra mile in ensuring that every guest feels more at home. I can also note that the rooms are well celebrated, neat and clean which make it comfortable when presenting the interior view. Lastly, Royal Thurso Hotel provides availability, good standard and good service that is satisfactory to most of the guests.

Am giving this hotel 2 nights stay based on the experiences the hotel is economical and good for one to spend the night. This service is unique and ensured by friendly and hospitable stuff in order to satisfy the client and make him/her comfortable The view from the room side is natural The staff at the hotel is very friendly so I like this hotel very much Royal Thurso Hotel

I feel relaxed whenever I was at Royal Thurso Hotel. It was a bit on the convenient side, it made sight seeing easier on us, our room was extremely clean and well tidied. The staff here was very friendly It was very pleasant to stay here We enjoyed our stay in every respect of this place which made our visit very special. If you’re in need of a wonderful experience with the proper location and accommodation, trust me in the Royal Thurso Hotel.
