Old Hall Country Breaks

Just returned from a stay at Old Hall Country Breaks. The hosts, Philip and Gil were lovely and made us feel very welcome. We woke up to a basket of fresh eggs by our front door, laid by their "girls". It was so nice to be able to feed their friendly animals.Gil shared his extensive knowledge of Norfolk and gave us great tips on some of the best places to visit. Nothing was too much trouble for them. We ordered an Indian and a Thai meal which were delicious. Wish we had booked for the week!

Just returned from an amazing weekend at this beautiful place. We stayed in the coach house for 3 nights, for my partners 60th birthday. Gil was great to contact and made it easy to organise a bespoke birthday cake, hot stone massages, a deluxe hamper as well as a Thai meal for one of the nights. He offered suggestions on places to visit and a proposed itinerary to use which was informative. On arrival we were given a warm welcome by Gil, with a glass of bubbly. We were shown around the property and we were really impressed with beautiful gardens and all the special little areas to enjoy. There has been so much thought that has went into to making this a really special place to stay. We also met Philip whom introduced us to the pet family of chickens and enlightened us about the Pygmy goats the 2 donkeys and the horse. There was a small baskets of treats left the coach house to feed to the animals which encouraged us to go and meet them. The massages were amazing and given in the coach house. Our Thai meal was delivered by a lovely lady who had just made the food and came in ceramic dishes all beautifully presented. It really felt like it was made with love. There is certainly nothing ordinary about Old Hall Country Breaks. The luxury hamper and had so many deluxe items inside. We ended up being a lot home with us as we didn’t get through a lot of it. The guys go above and beyond to make your stay special from start to finish. I would absolutely recommend a stay here. Thank you Gil and Philip for making my partners 60th a special and memorable One.

We have just returned from our first trip to Old Hall Country Breaks, they more than deserves their 5 star rating. From the warmest welcome from Gil to the loveliest hug to say goodbye every part of our break was superb. The accommodation is beautiful, every thought has gone into the decor, furnishings and quality of bedding. Every offering is available to you, the Thai offering is outstanding and delivered in style, the breakfast hamper contains the finest ingredients sourced locally. The animals are wonderful and their beautiful collection of chickens also have a 5 star lifestyle. A huge thank you to Gil and Phillip you truly do think of every thing to make your guests stay memorable, your warm, friendly and welcoming manner is the icing on a beautiful cake. We have stayed a number of times but this was our first December stay. All seasons at Old Hall are fabulous however Christmas is extra special with wonderfully decorated trees and cottages, hot spiced drinks on arrival, Christmas themed afternoon tea in the Old Hall and lots of surprises and goodies along the way. It put us completely in the Christmas spirit. Cannot recommend highly enough.

The phrase what’s not to like didn’t begin to describe this place . Went for a much needed switch off and certainly got that . Fantastic accommodation , everything you might need is there . Thai meal exceptional , breakfast hamper pure indulgence . Humphrey and Hattie resident dogs great entertainment. And host Gil what’s to say ? Anything you need will happen . I am missing my afternoon ice cream 😀 We will be back as soon as we can .

We wanted to express our sincere gratitude for your warm welcome and amazing hospitality. We had such a wonderful time at Old Hall Country Breaks.   Our experience started with  welcome drinks followed by an afternoon tea in the gardens.  Our accommodation was The East Wing is an absolutely stunning decoration. We enjoyed a delicious and wonderful dinner, and all dishes are freshly made in-house to allow those big Thai flavours we all know and love. My husband especially enjoyed feeding the animals and a long walk on the beach. Norfolk is a really special place. Thank you again for making it such a memorable experience.
