The Cornishman Inn

Just returned from The Cornishman, very friendly and welcoming. A big shout out to Sharon who was amazing and so helpful. Accommodation has had a complete refurbishment, comfortable room with everything you need. Breakfast was really lovely We also had fish and chips which was delicious. We will definitely be returning.

We liked the local feel of this Inn, and the attached dining was convenient for dinner and the included breakfast. Service was helpful and cheerful. Great location that was a convenient walk to Tintagel Castle. The room layout in the Family Room was a little odd with the sink separated from the rest of the bathroom.

Stopped here for lunch after walking the coast path. Food was excellent and good value too. My husband had the gammon and I had the Hunter’s chicken burger. Staff really friendly and efficient despite it getting extremely busy all of a sudden

My wife and I visited and stayed at this hotel 5 yrs ago.....and we wished we hadn't. At the time we complained about a number of issues which were dealt with by the skeleton crew of staff that were running this place at the time.. the whole place was chaotic.......subsequently we submitted a damning Trip Advisor Review after our visit.....Fast forward to August this year and we booked ourselves into a double room at this hotel for one night. We were greeted by the very friendly Sharon and we were taken to our room, which, compared with last time, was much improved,although a little tight on space. This establishment business is owned by Colin who we had met shortly after he took over the hotel . He is a very personable Manager/licencee with a vision for the hotel's future. We ate in the restaurant in the evening and found the food to be very tasty, hot and served in a timely manner, however, it is a little expensive. Leah, our waiter was clearly busy but also very attentive to our needs during the meal . Breakfast the following morning was full some, hot and served in a timely manner.........so overall, this hotel has improved quite extensively since our chaotic visit 5 yrs ago and BEFORE Colin took over. Anyone looking for a centrally located hotel with good food and pleasant staff, then this is the place !!! Ralph and Steph Gillam

Stopped off in The Cornishman for food after visiting Tintagel Castle. What a little gem Staff were so welcoming and super friendly. Food was amazing. First time I’ve ever been served a slice of fresh pineapple (lightly grilled) with gammon and not a ring from a tin! Steak and ale pie and the mixed grill all got great feedback from other diners whilst we were there

We live locally and had booked a table for 10 of us as we had friends visiting from up Country. It was a lovely evening so we decided to eat outside instead, they were happy to rearrange the tables outside for us. Most of us opted for different meals and can honestly say the food was delicious. Prices are about the same as most places around the area. Great friendly service too, would definitely eat here again.
