Mackenzie Beach Resort

Spent 3 nights in one of the water front cabins and had a spectacular time! The view was beautiful starting with an early morning view of a full moon with a reflection on the water, and then to end the day a most grand sunset. The grounds were well maintained. Easy access to the beach. Went on many long walks along the beach and relaxed. The cabin was clean and kitchen well equipped. Beds were comfortable. The staff were very friendly.

We had one of the best storm watching experiences we’ve ever had. We had a waterfront cabin and we’re lucky enough to witness a Cyclone Bomb as well as an atmospheric river, with thunder and lightning. What an experience! Our last night of three we lost power. We made the best of it heating our food on wood stove and used the tea lights that were provided. We ended up staying a fourth night due to road closures. The common area at the office provides everything you could possibly need, they had their generator going so guests were able to power up devices as well as enjoy local coffee and snacks. The fire pit in the middle of common area was so cozy and peaceful. What a trip! Already booked for next year. I love Tofino

Tent camping: the beach is the best part of the stay here. Other than that, it’s pretty expensive for what you get, which is a small plot, on a front lawn subdivided by thin old logs. There are not paths in between the plots so you have to tread in others space. Hedge plants are blocking view of the beach, foliage drooping over path to the beach. All needs trimming. Other than the front desk clerk, staff indifferent to our existence there, look the other way and don’t smile. Sold us wet wood. We struggled to get a decent fire for the better part of the night.

Such friendly, welcoming staff. Any requests we had were answered right away. Even called to say our cabin would be ready a few minutes early if we were in the area. The cedar hot tub was AMAZING. Always the perfect temperature, spacious enough for 4 people to be comfortable and very clean. They thought of everything- even a spot to wash the sand off your feet. Love this spot!

Unbelievable experience staying at Mackenzie Beach Resort!!! The staff were phenomenal, the beach was absolutely stunning and our cabin was so nice and cozy. Our cabin had a cedar hot tub and was a short 30 second walk to the Pacific Ocean- what more could one want?? People tend to get wrapped up in their sad lives and take it out on the hotels and their staff which is incredibly unfortunate because this place and its staff are total gems. Customer service these days is a tough go, props to the beauties at Mackenzie Beach Resort because they are killing it! The facilities have gone through renovations and continues to surprise me every time I come back!! The general store is AMAZING, the lobby is super cool, the staff are very friendly and helpful, and the overall vibe of the resort is down right cool. Do not hesitate to stay here- I cannot recommend it enough. Incredibly affordable and absolutely stunning. 10/10 experience.

Amazing resort right on MacKenzie Beach! Super clean cabins, comfy beds and the hot tub was so great to enjoy after a cold dip! Amenities like E-Bikes to rent, beautiful suana on the beach and hot coffee in the morning were easy to access and the staff were so helpful! We also had a lovely fire right on the beach. Cody is amazing and we will be back! Don't forget to try Ronnie's BBQ too!
