Sotetsu Fresa Inn Shimbashi-Karasumoriguchi recensioner

Not so clean hotel as compared to others I’ve stayed at. The area gets noisy at night. The hotel bathroom tiles needs improvements as they’re full of black moss, the walls and ceilings are mouldy as well. The pajamas makes my skin itch so I didn’t wear it. Not so great service as compared to the other parts of Japan too. Will not book again if possible. The only upside is the convenient location.

The location is good, only 7 mins walk to the JR station, very close!! And there are many restaurants nearby.

The place was convenient. Not too far from the station and there were a lot of food options near the hotel. With a Lawson just below the hotel. It was also easy to travel to Haneda airport with the train. The room was very clean and spacious for one person with enough space to open a big luggage. There was also a small window with a view of Tokyo Tower. Will definitely stay here again!

Staff was really friendly and checkin/checkout was really smooth. Great location for experiencing what local Japanese people like to eat out at, and really easy access to most places. (Right next to shinbashi station).

It's about 10 minute walk from Shimbashi station which is huge (many train/subway lines intersect there). The area is jam-packed with people and many food stores and advertising so it can get quite disorientating. But once you get your bearings, it's not difficult to find the hotel. There are many and wide variety of food options and convenience stores within walking distance - from frills-free udon/soba places, Chinese-style ramen, fast katsudon, to drinking places that let you grill fresh seafood. The hotel is clean, self check-in and -out were smooth. Amenities are available at the ground floor to be picked up if necessary. I did not opt for breakfast and unable to comment about it.

Very clean. Small but very well laid out room. Close to a main train station and a huge number of restaurants on the adjoining streets. Only wish would be for a better breakfast selection. I prepaid for breakfast and was provided only 4 choices. None were appealing, but the coffee was good. I'd definitely stay here again.

No onsen. Please read carefully before book. There are many sobetsu fresa Inn shimbashi one lol. The room is friggin small. Smaller than other real hotel. The bathtub is small too.

Good location. Convenient to different train stations. Many restaurants nearby.

Excellent location, within 5mins walk to Shimbashi Station. Lots of good restaurants around. Room is a bit small as expected. WiFi was good. Great value for money if you’re visiting Tokyo for a few days.

Got smoke smell when first went into the room. The staff on day shift were very friendly but staff on night shift quite rude. Recommended on their bath salt especially mint flavour.

The hotel is quite a good location and very close to the train station. The room is very small but it’s enough for one person. I did kind of struggle to open my luggage. It’s very quiet and I slept well. I only had one issue and for this reason I wouldn’t consider booking with this hotel again. When I arrived to check in it was around 8am. The staff at the desk were very kind. I didn’t want to check in early but I wanted to drop my bags off. At this point, the hotel manager (a older lady with glasses came) and said in a sharp tone that check in is at 3pm. I knew this and this was okay. I felt her tone was quite rude and accusatory. It’s my second visit to Japan and up until now I’ve had no issue here and everyone has been very friendly. I was surprised that someone working in the hotel industry doesn’t know how to speak in an appropriate tone while dealing with customers. I did spend money to stay here and do expect a certain level of service. The fact that you can speak English does not automatically equal good customer service. I suggest that you watch the tone you speak in. In addition to this, I didn’t get a baggage tag so I waited and the other staff member called the lady back. She said it was okay and after I left I could hear them giggling at the counter. It wasn’t a major issue as I know the majority of Japanese people are very friendly and I’ve had a great time in this country. I’m moving on to Kyoto next and I was considering to book this hotel chain there but the experience has put me off.
