Hotel Akai is a gem in Tokyo! 🌟 Located just a 2-minute walk from Aoto Station, it’s super convenient for exploring the city. The cleanliness is top-notch, making you feel right at home. 🧼 The staff are friendly and accommodating, always ready to help with a smile. The facilities, including cozy capsules and private lockers, are perfect for solo travelers like me. While it’s not a luxury stay, the vibe is fun and laid-back. Just be prepared for some train noise at night! Overall, a solid choice for budget-conscious adventurers! 🚆

I booked a capsule room before arriving in Japan, but it wasn’t clear to me that it was male-only. At check-in, the staff insisted it was stated online (I couldn’t find it even after checking three times) and said the only available option was a twin bed room, which I had to book instead. The staff mentioned she would cancel the capsule booking but didn’t inform me about the refund timeline. She was also quite indifferent and inattentive during check-in. On top of that, the twin room had a broken light—I can provide a photo if needed. Please advise on the refund and whether anything can be done about this experience.

There are so many rules to follow. You MUST leave the hotel everyday from 10am till 3pm so you only get to stay there for 75% of the day, even if you booked multiple days. so if you want to relax in your hotel this isn’t it.  The locker provided is tiny so you must keep your bags at the front desk.  The ventilation doesn’t work in the capsules and by the morning you feel like you’re asphyxiating.  I was bitten several times during the night but what I can only assume were bed bugs.  This is probably fine for people used to staying in capsules but if it’s your first time maybe reconsider a better option.  The receptionists are friendly.  If you find it hard to sleep with 10 people snoring around you and tvs blaring full volume all night then don’t stay here.  I had noise canceling earplugs and I could still hear the TVs all night.  You can only use the Onsen after 7pm  I had to leave one night early and was still charged for the night.  I’m not writing this review to offend the hotel, I’m trying to warn other travellers what to expect so you don’t book/cancel and get no refund.

Pretty good

Proper japanese type hotel with big vertical lockers. They provide towels. English sign board is not available but its near aoto station.

Hot insight the capsule, no direct air. Very old place, weird people around..

Just a run-of-the-mill capsule hotel. Nothing special, but decently priced. Just like many others in Tokyo which are pretty much copies of this. You get a little tv to watch in your little cabin, but it doesn't really work.

乾淨舒適，膠囊旅館來說算是不錯的，櫃檯親切 房間沒有煙味，住得很舒適， 附近就有便利商店採買非常容易，交誼廳乾淨舒適

房間還可以，日本房間都不算是很大，有一個小浴缸。酒店離車站很近，但是因此也比較吵，能聽見火車通過的聲音。

此行東京總共入住過三個膠囊酒店，這個是最乾淨的，無論床單被罩還是屋內氣味（唯一沒有沒有腳臭味兒的膠囊酒店）都非常令人滿意。最意外的是，男賓還可以享受一個泡澡池子，很解乏。洗漱用品毛巾啥的都提供，浴室體驗也是最好的，不僅僅是在於泡澡池的存在，而在於每個細節，比如，換下來的衣服都有個小籃子可以放在浴室外，不怕弄濕，這並不是每個膠囊酒店都能提供的。門外就有超市，購物方便，還有松屋，別的烤肉店各種飯館。雖然位置算不上繁華，但也不缺乏基本的便利和保障。 不滿意的主要兩點吧：1.離軌道交通太近（雖然交通方便了），噪音還是很大的，睡眠不好的慎選。2.儲物locker尺寸不合理，總空間不小，但是瘦瘦高高的，掛衣服還行，放行李就不方便了。我一個小背包都得把東西掏出來才能塞進儲物櫃。 最後，膠囊房每週衹有周四五六三天可以定，其餘日期沒有，不知道原因。不知道是否因此反倒促成了膠囊房的良好衞生水平（散味兒？打掃床鋪？）

駅周辺には、日高屋·松屋·吉野家とファミマ·ローソン·りそな銀行があり、構内にロッテリアがあります。カプセルは都内では安いと思いますが、半分以上海外旅行者(京成沿線だから？)で、夜12:30に浴槽の水(湯)を抜かれます(洗い場4つ·サウナなし·ナイロンタオルなし)。連泊でも10:00チェックアウトで荷物もロッカーに置けません。共用部で食事(持込)ができます。入退店が早い方には快適に過ごせそうです。
