We were a family of 7 (3A, 4C) in a room with 2 single bed bunks on top of 2 double beds. The 7th person had to sleep on the sofa which had to be made every night and packed away each morning otherwise there was no room to sit. I would say it was a room more suited to 6 people. It was nice to have a seating area and small kitchen. I also appreciated the coin operated laundromat on the first floor (ground floor) but the washing machines and dryers only took small loads. Check in was straight forward but the internet connection was a bit sketchy so couldn’t hear the person via video conference call at times. Other than that, the place was nice to stay at. Please note: No physical person there at the check in desk so if you leave your luggage in the lobby for storage it would be at your own risk.

Easy to check in and very close to Ameyoko Market there are so many convenient store nearby the hotel and yes very close to the station! Reccommend !!

Good location. No cleaning if you are not doing long stay. But good for family.

Room can comfortably accommodate family of 4, there were extra upper bunk beds that can be utilised by bigger groups. Room was clean and comfortable. Check in was easy and complimentary baggage storage was available for earlier arrivals. Well connected to many train lines (5-10mins walk), as well as many food options.

The in room cleanliness is acceptable, but there is still dust on the mini kitchen, like the refrigerator top. But the bathroom design is elderly friendly, the sitting platform help the elderly safe to sit during shower.

this is a nice hotel for family. You can find everything you need in the hotel room. The location of Minn Ueno is pretty good, it may take only 5~10 minutes from the hotel to Ueno station by walking, in addition, althoug the hotel is in somewhere nearby the Ueno station, but you will not be disturbed by the noise, Minn Ueno located in a quiet area. In sum, It is worth staying again in the future

I have seen the -ve reviews about the self check in and absence of daily housekeeping (which can be requested at an additional cost). However, for us family of 4 who want to travel together and stay together, the spacious room size (single toilet but quite roomy) and the brand new atmosphere was perfect! You couldn’t get such a size with that price and location in most hotels/hostels in Tokyo. Proximity to the airport skyline and main Ueno interchange station is just 5-8mins away. All in all, super value for money if you are travelling as a large family (＞4). Furthermore, comes with a small kitchenette and nice sofas to have family conversations.

1. Stayed on level 5 and there is a strong stench at the lift lobby and was not resolve for a couple of days even complaint was made to the service desk twice. 2. No room cleaning service even we stayed for 6 days. 3. No hand and bath towel change. There will be a 100yen charge per towel change if required. 4. Lack of service desk personnel. All check in/out and desk service needs to be done thru a tablet. In conclusion, will not recommend this hotel to anyone.
