This was one of our favorite hotels during our recent Japan trip. Room was modern and spacious, excellent for the last leg of your holiday if you need to pack. Location-wise, Ryogoku is a bit further out from central Tokyo. But the JR station is only a 5-minute walk away from the hotel, so it's quite convenient. Tip: DO NOT get the Tokyo Metro Pass if you intend to stay here and planning to visit the popular spots (Shinjuku, Shibuya, etc). The JR line is not only closer to the hotel, but will get you to these places faster.

Excellent location- especially if you want to visit to sumo stadium. Large room with a great river view. Massive bathroom.

I recently stayed at The gate hotel Ryogoku in Tokyo for 10 nights, and it was an excellent experience. The location is ideal, with easy access to the Jr station , making sightseeing convenient. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped with modern amenities. The staff was incredibly attentive and helpful, ensuring a smooth and pleasant stay. The hotel’s amenities and rooftop bar, were impressive. Overall, I highly recommend for everyone!

The room is very spacious and the bed is super comfortable. They even have Epsom salt for the bath tub and the view is very nice. Will stay there again next time.

Quite a brand new hotel with spacious interior as compared to the standard Japanese room. Though location is not as central, it's near the train station and easily getting around. The only drawback is there is no gym for a daily workout. Otherwise, all is good.

The front desk staff is polite and the room is very clean. There are restaurants nearby and it is very convenient.

I've been back several times and this time I was a little disappointed with my room which was not very neat, I didn't like the floor (too noisy). My father was too tired to apply for a change. But I know that the staff are extremely kind and have a sense of duty. The hotel is very clean in general and I enjoyed the breakfast. I will come back even without hesitation.

First time in Tokyo, a friend recommended this hotel, pleasantly surprised its fairly new. Room is clean and love it that they provided matching couple pajamas. Within walking distance to the Ryogoku station, there are plenty of eatery around the station. A sumo museum and the sumo ring next to the station, very convenient. The night view at the rooftop terrace is beautiful. The hotel do not have any parking facilities, and we had to park at public car park, cost Yen5600 over-night parking.

Spacious, clean hotel very close to Ryogoku station. If you can, get a nice room on the river side of the building. Nice rooftop bar too. Staff were super friendly with a very good standard of English.

Apart from being a bit pricey, everything was perfect. The room was spacious and clean. Located on the riverside with walking distance to a Jr station.

This is the best served hotel I have ever experienced in the entire Japan, service there always exceed my expectations, rooms are always clean and tidy, I strongly recommend this nice Hotel and thanks to the people there make me feel home, I have collectively stayed this Hotel for about 15 nights this year and will always be the guest of it in future!

Hotel with strategic location near train station, convenience store, restaurant. Rooftop bar has good view. The room is big in japan standart, clean also
