I cannot rate the Ecolodge highly enough. It was outstanding. Fantastic and attentive staff who supported and cared for me during my 4 day stay. My special thanks to Aldi who is an amazing person making my experience truly memorable. When asked to help me Aldi exceeded my expectations by ensuring my visit at the Lodge and my trip to Komodo islands ran as smooth and trouble free as possible. I must also mention Dati and others in the restaurant who served up absolute delights. The Lodge is surrounded by forests, waterfalls and at night the stars are spectacular with the brightness of the milky way mistaken for cloud. The sounds of the birds and the sweeping views across Flores and beyond are incredible. Thank you so much for everyone at Mbeliling Mountain Ecolodge for a wonderful time and hoping to return to the Lodge in the not too distant future.

We stayed 3 nights in Mbeliling and booked one full excursion day with Aldy (guide) and Edy (driver). The lodge is positioned on a steep and bushy hill, and there are many birds to be discovered from your cabin/balcony or from the small scale park itself or a nearby waking trail. The staff are very friendly and helpful, and especially Aldy is very knowledgeable about nature, birds and local habits. We booked (recommended) a package including meals. Packages are not cheap, but we considered it a fair price, taking in consideration that staff are local people share in the income of the lodge. Meals are tasty, carefully prepared and can be enjoyed on the beautifully situated restaurant overlooking forests and at the horizon the bay. Nice sunsets from the terrace! And yes, the lodge is next to the TransFlores road. It is not very busy, yet cars and trucks can be noisy. But this did not affect our experience.

Our arrival at Mbeliling Ecolodge made the hour road journey into the hills all worthwhile. Set amongst the beautiful grounds our lodge room was spacious and clean and the view from our balcony was spectacular. All of the staff were super friendly and helpful and we thoroughly enjoyed our dinners and breakfasts. We had a super day trip to Rinca to see the Komodo Dragons and Manta Ray and coral reef. All in all a fabulous start to our personalised fifteen day Ecologe Indonesia tour in Flores, West Timor and Borneo.

People running the lodge and the sevices are outstanding. Friendly, competent, always wanting to improve their services. The restaurant serves Indonesian and Western foods, all are very tastee. Our bungalo was very comfortable, especially the bed. Clean and quiet. There are so many birds to see! The vantage point of the restaurant deck serves bird watching very well. So 10 out of 10. Be aware that because Flores has a steep hilly geography, it is a hike from the restaurant to the bungalows.

Had a really nice stay at the lodge situated at the foot of Mt Mbeliling. The view of the sunset from our terrace was absolutely amazing. The area around the is full of wildlife and the lodge offers birding tours around the lodge and adjacent areas. The food is traditional Indonesian but very fresh and cooked to order.

This is a fantastic Ecostay that responsibly supports the local economy. The lodge and its surroundings are beautifully arranged and very comfortable. We stayed for 8 days and 7 nights and went birding, trekked to waterfalls and lakes and learned about rice farming and the candlenut industry. All of our adventures were arranged through the ecostay. We took a full day for snorkeling and visited Rinca Island for the Komodo Dragons. The food was also fantastic and we elected for the suggested menu each night which included so much local food that we would not have experienced otherwise. I highly recommend this ecolodge.

Awesome experience. Great staff. Will recommend to anyone looking for a lovely place to stay in Western Flores. Good birding location and food was excellent at the restaurant. Bird calls in the morning and tours from the resort were excellent. Would recommend Sam as a bird guide

We spent a week in this friendly , happy, gorgeous, delicious ecolodge with sweeping views of the Flores seas and Komodo islands. We signed up for extra activities every day and had informative accompaniment as much as we wished! All four of us recommend this experience!
