Tyndale B&B Torquay

We were blown away by our experience at Tyndale B&B. Our room was immaculate, with white company toiletries and lovely big shower. David & Tonny are exceptional hosts, adding lots of little touches to make your stay special. We had a lovely warm welcome on arrival, with prosecco and cold towels, and even taking our luggage to our room for us. They were great to chat to during our stay offering advice on things to do and places to eat, and always made the effort to ask how our day had been the next morning. We were celebrating a birthday and they went above and beyond, providing a bottle of prosecco, decorations and a birthday card in our room. There was a wide assortment of biscuits and snacks in the room, as well being available throughout the day from the sitting room. We even had fresh cakes each day. The pillow menu was a nice touch, along with the extremely comfortable bed. Weather was quite hot whilst we were there so very much appreciated the air con in the room! The help your self continental selection and the hot food menu were both exceptional for the size of the B&B, and everything we had was delicious. Always offered buck's fizz with breakfast, lovely treat! The location of the B&B is excellent, being within walking distance of Torquay town and harbour. There are many more things that we could've done and so are already planning our return. On our last day, we were given a goody bag of crisps, fruit and cake for our long journey home. These personal touches really go a long way.

What a wonderful B & B, from the initial welcome from Tonny and David to the fabulous breakfast, you cannot fault this place. Parking is good and it is less than 10 minutes pleasant walk through the parks to the beach and restaurants and a further 10 minutes along the prom to the harbour and Torquay centre. The room is beautiful with everything you need from the comfortable bed, excellent ensuite shower room, air con and every little touch you could ask for. A fridge is provided with water bottles and tea and coffee making. We loved the little fresh cakes left for us each day. David cooks amazing breakfasts whilst you help yourself to the buffet of cereals, fruit or continental and Tonny keeps you entertained with his front of house service. You won’t go hungry. This has to be the best B&B we have stayed in and would compete with the best hotels. And yes we miss the hot towels

We have just come back from a 3 day break here and have already booked for next year. From the minute we got there till the minute we left everything was perfect. We arrived after a 5 hour drive and met the owners who cannot do enough for you and made us a pot of tea. The room was excellent and had everything you need in it . The owners recommend days out as well as restaurants. They are happy to book taxis for you. The breakfast is truly excellent with a good menu to choose from. All cooked intervidualy so everything is fresh. If you are planning a few days in torquey see if you can stay here you will not be disappointed

The best bed & breakfast we've ever stayed in. David & Tonny are the most brilliant hosts, they supply everything you could think of and more. From the scrummy homemade cakes, the divine cooked breakfasts to the gorgeous dressing gowns, thick, soft towels and that's just a few of the luxuries they supply. David & Tonny are like your own personal butlers because they go above and beyond to make your stay so special. This is our 2nd visit in 3 weeks and we will definitely be back very soon! If I could give 10 stars I would!

Greeted by our ever so friendly hosts, with offer of prosecco or coffee and cake. An excellent start to what became a most enjoyable stay. Only short stop this time, but would recommend thoroughly . Breakfast of continental and full English with a variety of options including Bucks fizz if wanted. Room was beautifully furnished and decorated, coffee machine teas etc too many to list , fresh milk in fridge with filtered bottled water . Slept as if at home. Guest parking off road . A short walk to the sea front.

What an absolute gem of a place this is, I really don't want to write a great review as it means I might not be able to get booked again. Alas I must, David and Tonny are truly exceptional hosts whose attention to detail is second to none. From being greeted the minute we arrived with umbrellas to walk us, in to a glass of prosecco and a hot towel, to waving goodbye with cake and fruit for the journey home. The breakfast is cooked by david to an exceptional standard whilst tonny is your host who makes sure you will not want for anything.They ensure all guests have every need met. They are a wealth of information not only on the best places to eat but where to go in the surrounding area and the best transport to use. Rooms are to a very high standard, cleaned daily,numerous pillow choices,pillow spray,expresso machine to name but a few. They made our anniversary special with there thoughtfull touches especially my wife's Dr pepper 😉. I really cannot thank them enough for making a Devon stay truly special. The only thing missing was being tucked in at night 😆 🤣 Thank you David and Tonny see you again some time .

From the moment we arrived on Friday , Tonny & David made my husband and I feel so welcome. They helped us in with our bags, presented us with lovely hot towels to freshen up after our journey, as soon as we informed them it was our anniversary weekend we had a glass of bubbly in our hands 😃 Once we finished our drinks, we went to move our bags to find that they were already in our room! Our room was lovely, spotlessly clean and had so many little extras every day, lovely piecs of cake, sleep spray, different types of pillows to choose from, mini fridge with filtered water, loads of different teas, coffee, hot chocolate, beautiful toiletries in the bathroom and so much more. Breakfast was delicious, lots of choice and we were always offered a glass of bucks fizz which was a nice touch. On Saturday we arrived back from being out for the day to find a lovely anniversay card, beautiful red roses and a bottle of fizz in our room from Tonny & David, which was such a lovely surprise and on Monday morning on the day of our anniversary, our breakfast table was decorated beautifully with red rose petals and we had a glass of fizz, again so thoughtful. Tonny &David are such lovely people, always sharing advice on where to visit, best restaurants and bars etc and the effort they put in to make sure their guests have everything the need is phenomenal. I can honestly say they are the bests hosts, the venue is lovely and the service us first class. When we were leaving they both came to see us off and presented us with some cake and fruit for the journey home. We love this place and we have already booked to go back next year! If you book to and decide to stay here you won't regret it believe me !

David & Tonny really give you a 5* service , nothing is left to chance.From the welcome “Bucks Fizz” a good start to any holiday, the room was spotless and well equipped with tea/ coffee etc. The breakfast choice was great and David cooked a top breakfast while Tonny gave his inimitable service !!! Really they are the best in Torquay they made are break extra special.

We would just like to thank our 2 magnificent and most erudite hosts - 'David & Tonny' for the very best of stays over the last week. You made our holiday an absolutely wonderful experience, from the moment we pulled-into in your car park, to the sad moment when we departed home. I don't want to list the extra-special things you do for your guests - your considerate care or your mesmerising attention to detail - only because I don't want to spoil the wonderful surprises which await those considering a visit. My advice - don't delay, book now and buckle-up for The Tyndale's truly wonderful 'First Class' experience, you definitely won't be disappointed. Every facet of this establishment and your hosts will impress, in every sense of the word. Your hosts will spoil you, cater your every need, put a guaranteed smile on your face and ensure your stay is truly magical. Vanessa & I are really, ever so grateful for a truly memorable week - what you provide is rare, requires selfless 'hard-working' dedication, an urbane and tireless perspective which we both greatly appreciated. The real treasure however, is you two sparkling young gentlemen you are 2 simply fabulous outstanding guys '10/10' - so a super massive well done to you both.
