I went back and forth about where to stay then chose the Elmdene. A short walk from the train station, the Elmdene proved to be the best choice. We were immediately greeted by Trev who was warm, friendly and inviting. Our room was more impressive than the photos online. There were 2 rooms and a bathroom. The 2nd room had a sofa, tv, mini frig, hot water pot, teas, coffees, biscuits. The bedroom area was beautifully decorated. There was a make up vanity and a really comfy chair, an ironing board, a fan, a luggage rack. I felt like I was at home with all these comforts of home. My favorite item in the room was the mirror in the bathroom. It lighted up! Our breakfast was filling with a large variety of if breakfast items from croissants, fresh fruit to omelette an and beans. A true delight. Highly recommended. Thank you Trev and Kim

I enjoyed my time at The Elmdene, having stayed for 5 nights solo. The rooms were charming and clean. There is a bar in the property, which is well stocked with alcoholic drinks. The breakfast was superb. Kim and Trev has gone the extra mile to make my stay more comfortable.

What an amazing hotel , definitely worth its 5 star rating The hotel is spotless throughout and decorated to a high standard. Everything you could want and need is in your room .The hosts Kim and Trevor go above and beyond in all they do. Came back one evening to find freshly baked scones ,cream and jam in our room , they were delicious. Breakfast has so many choices , I think my husband worked his way through the menu during our week's stay and everything was delicious, great portion sizes you never leave hungry. We didn't want to leave and wouldn't stay anywhere else in Torquay now we've found The Elmdene . Worth every penny

Extremely clean and tidy, excellent facilities everything you would need and more. Decor was beautiful such a large bedroom with a separate mini lounge, so cute. Great choice for breakfast and cooked to perfection. Love the little touches like the tasty homemade scones, the chocolates and fresh milk in the fridge along with bottled water. Our hosts Kim and Trevor are so friendly and helpful, keep up a great job. You are clearly great at what you do. Thanks from Claire and Scott.

Another fabulous weekend spent at the Elmdene. Kim and Trev are just the best hosts, nothing is too much trouble. They make you feel so welcome. The rooms are immaculate and beds so comfy. I highly recommend Kim’s full English, the best I’ve ever eaten. This is the only place I would ever stay at when visiting Torquay. Highly recommended.

We had a warm welcome and checkin by Kim and Trev, throughout the stay nothing was too much trouble. Rooms were spacious,beautifully decorated and immaculately clean with everything thought of (slippers, dressing gowns, etc). Breakfast delicious with lots of choice.will definitely be back

The Elmdene never fails to deliver on an amazing stay. It is definitely the cleanest, comfortable B and B I have ever been to. Kim and trev are the most wonderful hosts. Nothing is to much trouble for them, they go above and beyond to make sure everything is just right for your stay. Highly recommend

We stayed here for a birthday break. The rooms are beautifully furnished and are spotlessly clean. The breakfast is first class with a very good selection of fresh food: cereals, fruits, porridge, full English choice, even kippers, all perfectly prepared by Kim. Ample parking for guests and in a quiet neighbourhood. Just a few minutes walk through the Abbey grounds brings you to the centre of Torquay with all it has to offer. We had a fabulous stay here, Kim and Trev cannot do enough for their guests. Very highly recommended.

Absolutely Amazing! Me and my partner have just visited for the night during our trip to Torquay. This beautiful guest house is so welcoming by the 2 owners. Our room was HUGE and even had its own living room, the bed is so comfortable and hospitality is 10000/10. If you haven’t tried their breakfast you’re missing out. We will definitely be back.
