Haven House

This was one of the best stays that my wife and I have had ever. From the time that we arrived Alister and Mel looked after us totally. Our room was clean , tidy and very comfortable. Breakfast was very good by far the best we have had in a long time.

Fantastic time. Lovely clean big room. Breakfast great. I throughly enjoyed the bath,as this is quite rare in a BB. Alistair and Mel were great hosts. I requested 4 extra pillows for my husband and they were in the room when we got there. Would definitely go back again.

We were made to feel extremely welcome on arrival. Everywhere was very clean, the beds were comfortable and the breakfast was delicious. It was the perfect base to explore the beautiful surroundings. I would definitely revisit 😊 Thank you Alistair

Had a 5 night stay at Haven House Torquay and after a long 5 hour drive I was warmly welcomed by Mel and shown to my room. The room was clean and well furnished, and I had everything I needed for my stay. Parking was free on the street. The B&B is in a quiet location and only a 10 minute walk to the promenade. With just 6 rooms it is a small B&B, with rooms downstairs and upstairs, just one flight of stairs. There is an excellent variety of breakfast options each morning with Mel front of house and Alistair cooking. The fried breakfast was utterly delicious every morning with quality produce and cooked to perfection. Plenty of tea, coffee, toast, juice and fruit to choose from as well. My room was refreshed every day and a really nice touch was the two Celebrations every time I returned to my room. It was a wonderful stay with the perfect hosts and a lovely B&B. Highly recommend Haven House.

We have been to lots of B&Bs but Haven House is by far the best one we have ever had the pleasure of staying in. Alistair & Mel, made us feel that nothing was too much trouble in making our stay enjoyable, they are very attentive, the room was immaculate and the bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was of extremely high quality in a friendly warm atmosphere and the choice was endless whatever you like they had it and ensured your breakfast was an experience you would remember. The location was perfect for us with easy access to the bus stop which gets you all around the Devon coast to places like Paignton, Brixham and Babbacombe or just a 10 minute walk to the beautiful Torquay beach and town centre. Overall an easy 10/10 and would stop again and again… Thank you Alistair & Mel.

The welcome from the owners was very friendly and helpful. The room, bed, facilities and parking were excellent. The breakfast was excellent and freshly cooked. Will definitely be staying there again when we are in Torquay. Thanks again.

The owners could not do enough for us made our stay most enjoyable. Breakfast was perfect. Lovely clean room. They went out of their way to make our stay the best experience. The haven house is situated in a lovely part of Torquay in walking distance to Main Street for food and beaches. The vista lounge in Main Street was great for just a coffee or lunch. Would stay here again thank you.

Cracking little well run B&B in a great location to Torquay beach, theatre, harbour, town centre and surrounding areas. Great hosts who look after you well and serve up a superb breakfast to start the day. Would happily stay again. Parking a bit of a lottery as mainly street parking but we was never to far away.

Booked this for a suprise weeks holiday for my disabled parents. The hotel was very clean and tidy. The hosts could not do enough for them, carried luggage to and from the car for them and always offering advice on places to visit during their stay. Breakfast was plentiful, very tasty and a variety of hot and cold food. A large range of cerals, yoghurts and fruit displayed as well as asking you what hot breakfast you required, sometimes this was just beans on toast for my parents but this was never an issue for the hosts. Parking was supplied around the back of the hotel but the spaces are very tight and they did struggle to get in and out of their car so a "reserved space" out the front would have been a better option for them as they are both blue badge holders. The communication with the hosts before the stay was brilliant and payment was taken from my card prior to their arrival so that they didnt know how much we had paid for the break. The location of the hotel was great, on a lovely quiet street about 1 mile from Torquay harbour but has easy access via bus or land train to the local town. Overall, my parents had a wonderfully stay and would defo stay again.
